After two weekends in a row of racing, the Rapids ended December and 2019 with some great swims, not to mention some great work from our parents at both Fastswim and the Winter Time Trial.

130 Rapids swimmers competed at Fastswim, representing eight training groups. Out of over a thousand swims, the Rapids produced 326 finals swims and 45 medal winners.

Two Rapids set club records. Fiona Xue broke the 13-14 50 butterfly record, and Mingjun He set a new 13-14 100 butterfly record.

28 swimmers earned a total of 46 new provincial cuts. Big congrats to the following swimmers:

The Winter Time Trial was the first long course racing of the season for most of the swimmers, and the first time ever for some. Over 100 swimmers raced, producing over 150 best times.

Special congrats to Angela Feng, who earned her first BC Age Group Champs time, and Sophia Chen for earning her LMR Champs time in the 200 IM.

Looking forward to a fast new decade!
