We are very pleased to share with our members a great accomplishment achieved by our team. R.O.W. Swim Club was recognized with the Most Improved Male Team award for its performance at this Summer’s Ontario Swim Championships (OSC) or Provincials. On September 13th, 2019, at Swim Ontario’s 30th Annual Awards Ceremony that took place in Mississauga, Matthew Berton and Alex Rus were very honored to accept this award on behalf of the team from Dean Boles! Heartfelt congratulations to the swimmers and their coach, Cathy!

ROW MARCH UPDATE Over the past couple of weeks, ROW swimmers have been competing at provincial level meets. While at provincials, Natalie Peterson won a bronze medal in 100 Back and a silver medal in 200 Back, while Alex Rus qualified for his first provincial finals in the 200 fly finishing 7th. Matthew Berton placed 8th in the 400 IM. Both Matthew and Alex fully qualified for Eastern Canadian Championships in Quebec City in April. Congratulations to ROW's Head Coach Cathy Pardy for being selected by Swim Canada to be one of twelve female coaches from across the country who will participate in an upcoming female coaching leadership workshop entitled “Taking the Stage” Feb. 8-9 in Ottawa. This training, delivered in partnership with Own The Podium and The Humphrey Group, is designed specially to help female coaches view leadership through the lens of communication – supporting them to develop the skills needed to be seen as strong, confident leaders.
