Ready to join ROW?

Thank you very much for your interest. If you have not swum competitively before, you will require an assessment or try-out, in order for the coaches to advise you on your optimal group placement.

ROW is offering the following try-out / assessment sessions for new swimmers wanting to join the club:

The assessments will be held at the Cameron Heights pool (301 Charles St E, Kitchener, ON N2G 2P8) on the following dates:

 
December 5th
December 9th
December 12th 
December 16th

*Please note there is a $20.00 fee to cover assessment costs. 
 
Prior to registering please ensure your athlete(s) satisfy the following criteria:
1. Minimum age: 4 years old.
2. Children should be comfortable in the water  and without Mom or Dad on the deck.  * Parents will not be allowed to enter the facility the day of the assessment. 
3. Swimming ability:

  • Swimmers 4-7 years old: comfortable in shallow water, can demonstrate some swimming ability on their front and back for 5m without stopping.

  • Swimmers 7 years and older: must be able to swim 25 yds/m in both freestyle and backstroke without stopping.
