My name is Anna and this is my third year coaching for the Saskatoon Aqualenes. This year I’m coaching the 13-15 duet and solo. I have also been swimming with the Aqualenes for 8 years and am currently in my last year of Junior National Stream. I’m excited to pass on all the skills, in sport and in life, that this club has given me!

My name is Bailey, I am coaching a 13-15 provincial stream duet this year. It is my third year coaching. I am not only a coach, I am also still a junior national stream athlete, and going into my 14th year of swimming. I am in grade 12 at St. Joes high school. My goal as a coach is to share all my years of experience with my swimmers and help them grow as a person and grow as a swimmer to reach their goals. I can’t wait for another year of coaching!

My name is Brittany Leaper, this year I am coaching the National Stream program as well as mentoring the 10&Under Team. I swam for nine years before retiring and becoming a coach, this will now be my twelfth year coaching. I have coached almost every age group in the club from aquagiggles to 16-18. I was the coach of the 2015 Canada Winter Games Team and I have also been an apprentice coach for the Canadian 13-15 and Junior National Teams. I am fully certified in coaching level 3 - competition development. Consecutively in 2017 and 2018 I have placed an athlete on a Canadian National Team. Memorable moments from last season was having so many new athletes in national stream and creating an amazing family like community with the Juniors and 13-15s. I love our sport because of the friendships it has given me, artistic swimming is my family away from home. I love the creative outlet that the sport allows me to have from solving problems to creating routines. I feel blessed to be able to come to the pool each and every day and do something I truly love. I am looking forward to a fun and successful season!

My name is Cate Janzen and this is my second year as a coach for SAQ! I have been swimming for eight years and am in Grade 11 at Waldheim School. I am super excited to be coaching a recreational team as well as the limited competitive 14U team this year! I am so glad that I get to show new athletes how fun synchro can be!

My name is Eliot Paul and this is my third year coaching with the Aqualenes.  I was an artistic swimmer  for 10 years at the recreational and competitive levels. This year I am coaching limited competitive, recreational, and a 16-20 solo! I recently graduated from Centennial Collegiate and am really looking forward to coaching this season. I enjoy doing photography and often take pictures at the pool of other swimmers, as well as friends and family.

Hi everyone my name is Jenna Willie and this year I am co-coaching the 15U provincial pathway team and the 12 and under teams. This is my third year as a competitive coach with the Aqualenes and fourth year coaching altogether. Before I started coaching, I swam competitively for 10 years with the club and finished with my last 4 years in national stream! I was on the provincial team for 3 years as well and I finished in grade 11. Now I am in my second year of kinesiology at the U of S and have loved being able to apply my schooling to the sport! I’m super excited to be back at the pool and am grateful we could all come back and do what we live despite the world's situation.

I was a student of the sport with Regina Synchro for nine years before retiring. When I am not at the pool, I am usually studying, reading or working on one of my numerous art projects. I look forwards to this year, and cannot wait to work with all of our amazing athletes!

My name is Shaelynn Thiessen and this will be my ninth year coaching with the Saskatoon Aqualenes. Prior to coaching, I ended my synchro career as a national stream athlete with the Aqualenes. This year I am working with our National 13-15 & Junior athletes as well as helping out with the provincial 12 and under team! I am super excited for what this season has to offer! In 2018 I became Competition Development Certified and I have been continually learning so much from our amazing coaching staff and I am excited to put my knowledge to use again this year and improve even more. The pool is my home away from home and our club is truly a little family. Outside of coaching, I am working for Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming alongside our head coach Laurie Wachs. I am also back in school full time in the College of Education! It’s going to be a busy season full of changes but I love this sport and I am so glad we have something to come back to this season after our abrupt end last year!

I coach Saturday rec from 3:30-5:00 This is my second year coaching, I am 16 years old and swam for 8 years with the club before starting to coach.

Hi, my name is Theodosa den Brok. Before becoming a level 1 certified coach, I swam for 8 years. Some of my major accomplishments with artistic swimming were competing on the Sask Winter Games team in 2014, swimming on team Sask for 2 years and participating in the national team trials in 2017. This is my fourth year coaching with the Aqualenes. This year I will be sharing both the 10&Under and 12&Under team. I love being able to pass on my passion for this sport to young swimmers. It brings me joy to see swimmers fall in love with synchro just like I did. I can’t wait to see what this year brings and how these swimmers grow as I grow with them as a coach!
