About Us

The Saskatoon Aqualenes (SAQ) offers artistic swimming programs (formerly called synchronized swimming) for recreational and competitive streams starting at age 5 up to age 21. Our mission is to develop the whole athlete through teamwork, excellence, fitness, and enjoyment. We are a non-profit club, run by its' elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and are encouraged to be involved in team activities.

Call for Volunteers

The 2022 National Qualifiers is fast approaching!  As the host club, we are in need of volunteers to make the event a success. This is an ideal opportunity to get involved, experience a national competition, and complete your required club volunteer hours.

We will need the majority of the club to help run this event!!  It is a huge competition with over 350-400 athletes, officials etc attending. We have 30 clubs from across Canada in attendance. Provinces include: BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NS and NB.

Saskatoon Aqualenes Receives Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund Grant

In February, Canadian Tire Corporation announced an additional $12 million commitment to Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund to help sport and recreation organizations build back to sport and play in Canada.

Jumpstart conducted a State of Sport study via Ipsos which revealed the pandemic has not only impacted current access to sport and play but has real long-term effects as well. Saskatoon Aqualenes have experienced the impact of the pandemic first-hand.

We recently received confirmation that we are amongst nearly 300 sport and recreation organizations nationally to be provided with grant support through Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund. We are beyond grateful to receive this news and know the positive impact it will have on sport and recreation organizations, and ultimately, on kids across the country.

With Jumpstart’s support, we’ll be able to keep our athletes swimming!

Thank You for your support!

Our sport is underway during the pandemic. It’s a challenging time, but support from our partners allows us to offer opportunities for kids to play. We acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada.

It is with excitement and anticipation that the Saskatoon Aqualenes, along with Canadian Artistic Swimming, will host the National Qualifier Competition in March of 2022. This event will bring together athletes from across the country after a two-year interruption. The National Qualifier will not only showcase the Spirit of Artistic Swimming and the strength and resilience of our amazing athletes, but also the city of Saskatoon and our beautiful Prairie Province. We have all missed out on so much this last year but sport will bring us all back together!
