Saskatoon Goldfins Will Be Large in Number at the 2022 Lasers Invitational Swim Meet
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is preparing to compete in their home pool May 6 - 8, 2022 at the Lasers Invitational 2022 LC Swim Meet. The Shaw Centre will be a packed house as the Goldfins Swim Club will be represented by 110 swimmers.
This long course meet will allow swimmers to compete in numerous events that swimmers have not yet had the opportunity to race in this season. The Lasers have created a unique meet program allowing all level of swimmers to challenge themselves in these various events.
“This meet allows the entire Goldfins Swim Club to compete together”, says Jennifer Robinson, Head Development Coach. “This season, the Goldfins have attended meets, that have divided the Club’s swimmers into different sessions. This swim meet we will be standing all together cheering each other on throughout the weekend.”
The Lasers Invitational Meet schedule is as follows:
Session 1 - Friday, May 6, 2022 – Goldfins Arrival: 4:00 PM & Competition Start: 5:35 PM
Events: 100M Breaststroke, 50M Backstroke, 100M Fly, 800M Freestyle
Session 2 - Saturday, May 7, 2022 – Goldfins Arrival: 7:00 AM & Competition Start: 8:35 AM
Events: 200M Backstroke, 200M Breaststroke, 100M Freestyle, 50M Breaststroke & 200M Mixed Freestyle Relay
Session 3 - Saturday, May 7, 2022 – Goldfins Arrival: 3:00 PM & Competition Start: 4:35 PM
Events: 200M Fly, 200M IM, 400M Freestyle, 100M Backstroke
Session 4 - Sunday, May 8, 2022 – Goldfins Arrival: 7:00 AM & Competition Start: 8:35 AM
Events: 50M Fly, 200M Freestyle, 400M IM, 50M Freestyle, & 200M Mixed Medley Relay
