Goldfins Win Overall Top Club - Man/Sask 2022 Summer Long Course Championships
The Saskatoon Goldfins are 2022 Man/Sask Senior Provincial championships for the first time since 2015. The Goldfins, 53 strong in number, won the 2022 Manitoba-Saskatchewan Long Course Open Championships on Sunday, defeating the Manta Swim Club (Winnipeg, MB). The Goldfins, who won the title at Saskatoon’s Shaw Centre, came from behind to take the title on the final night of the 3.5-day championship swim meet.
Goldfins competed against 27 swim clubs, topping the results with a total of 4607.5 points, clinching the Top Saskatchewan Club Award and the Overall Top Manitoba or Saskatchewan Club Award. Four Goldfins swimmers were recognized for their individual achievements.
Saskatchewan Individual High Point Awards were given out to Goldfins swimmers: Abby Gebhardt (Female 15 & O) and to Landon Kennedy (Male 13 & U).
Keiran Dyck won the Saskatchewan Individual High Point – Male 14 – 15 and also received the Overall Top 14-15 Male High Point Award.
Brayden Hemeon received the Betty Lou Dean Award. This award is given to a Saskatchewan male swimmer for the outstanding swim of the meet (highest FINA points score). Brayden posted a time of 1:03.54 – 717 FINA Points. At this same meet, Brayden broke his own Saskatchewan Provincial Long Course Senior Records and he broke Saskatoon Goldfins Club records in the 50M Breaststroke (29.34) and in the 100M Breaststroke (1:03.54).

2022 Man/SK Senior Provincials concluded day 4’s final session with the 200 Medley Provincial Relays.
