Description (Designed for ages 13 and older)

This group is for 13 & Over swimmers that cannot commit to a full training schedule similar to their peers, yet want to stay competitively active.  Swimmers in this group should have a work ethic and competitive desire that still allows them to strive for results within the time restraints of their current situation.  Swimmers in this group should have previous competitive experience, be committed to the process of a competitive environment and endeavor for the best possible achievements at the LMR or divisional level.



  • 13 & older
  • 3:30 or faster for 200IM
  • Able to commit to 75% attendance or better


  • Have Fun!
  • Work on aerobic development and refining all 4 strokes, starts and turns
  • Follow basic competitive rules all the time
  • Establish regular attendance habits
  • Attend competitions that they and qualify for

Swimmer Expectations

  • Strive to attend all workouts, attendance requirement of 75% or better
  • Arrive 5 minutes before practice starts so you can start on time
  • Bring a water bottle to every workout
  • Participate in club events or functions, including  “Round Table Club Meets”
  • Treat others with respect and care
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Adhere to Athlete Code of Conduct

Parent Expectations

  • Arrange to get your swimmer to practices and events on time
  • Contact your coach if your swimmer is going to miss workout
  • If watching workout or a swim meet, to stay in the viewing areas and remain off the pool deck or out of appropriate areas
  • Contact your coach directly if you have any concerns regarding your swimmer and their training
  • Stay up-to-date with club news via hand-outs, emails, website, bulletin boards and/or communication with coaches and board
  • Ensure all fees are paid on time and account is in order
  • Parent Participation Points: help out at SKSC club functions, hosted events, timing at PASS meets, etc...
  • Treat other parents, athletes and coaches with respect
  • Have a positive attitude and do not engage in negative gossip in the bleachers with other parents
  • Adhere to Parent Code of Conduct

Graduation Guidelines into next group

  • Show an desire,effort and commitment level of the next group
  • Willingness to travel and compete at the require level
  • Recommended 90% attendance 
  • Successful two week trial period
  •  Please note- making time standard does not automatically qualify or disqualify swimmers to move into the next group.  Move ups are solely up to coaches’ discretion.  Other factors are considered including space, maturity, abilities group cohesion, etc
