TRIALS DAY ONE - Peter Brothers takes first place in Men's 400Free Final

It was an exciting first day at Olympic Trials with the biggest highlight being the 1st place finish of Peter Brothers in 400Free in a personal best time of 3:49.35. Fun fact - Peter's time was the fastest 400Free swam in Canada since 2017. Way to go! 

Other highlights of the day:

Stephen Calkins raced his way to a best time and 5th place Finals finish in Men's 100Fly ending with a time of 53.88. 

In women's 400Free, we had Allison McCloy finish 7th overall with a personal best time of 4:20.28. Marit Anderson also raced the event, ending up 10th in the ranks with a time of 4:23.64. 

We had many athletes racing 100Back today starting with Ella Varga who finished 11th in prelims and raced her way up to an 8th place finish with a final time of 1:02.45. On the Men's side we had Rob Hill finishing 7th - his best time from the day being from prelims (55.92). Richie Stokes ended up in 9th place with his fastest time also being from the prelims session (56.34). Our final competitor, Brian Palaschuk, ended the day in 15th with a best time of 57.63. 

Tristan Cote also competed in the Men's 400Free, ending the Finals swim in a time of 3:55.33 for a 6th place finish.
