Zach ACES Head Development Coach

Email: [email protected]

This is my second-year as a swim coach, however, I have had a massive background in swimming since I was born. I started swimming on the Windsor Aquatic Club when I was 3 and continued swimming for the Aces from ages 4-13. Since I was playing hockey and lacrosse at a high level I stopped swimming to focus on those sports. At 16 I became a fully certified lifeguard/instructor and have spent 8 years enjoying that aspect of teaching. I am very excited to be coaching this year as the Head Development coach of the Novice and Junior programs.

I swam for the team for 15 years competing at the provincial and national levels. I am entering my 7th year coaching. I am looking forward to helping the swimmers reach the best of their abilities this season.

Aside from coaching, I’m very passionate about fitness and well-being. I like to do running races and obstacle course events as well competing in triathlons.

Jamie ACES Assistant Coach

The 2021-2022 season marks my fourth year of coaching and my third with the Aces. I am passionate about what we do as a team and the development of the individual swimmers. I enjoy continuing education and how I can bring new ideas to the water for our swimmers to benefit from.  With a background in endurance sport and education in Therapeutic Recreation I feel there is a lot for us all to learn about our abilities.

Zan ACES Assistant Coach

Email: [email protected]

Hi! My name is Zan, I'm a third-year university student and former swimmer with the Wilmot Aquatic Aces Club. I swam for 10 years prior to coaching for the Aces, with 2 years spent coaching a small team out of Otterville, where I was a lifeguard.

My favourite part of swimming is that there is an inherent discipline required to make massive improvement, every flip turn and every stroke taken is an opportunity to improve yourself and the more you focus, the more you improve.

I am looking forward to a great seson with all the swimmers!

Emma Heinbuch Junior Coach

Email: [email protected]

This is my 8th year swimming and first year officially coaching with the Aces. I was able to volunteer for the past two years with some of our younger swimmers on the team. I’m a grade 10 student at St David Catholic Secondary school and in the future I plan on going to university for occupational therapy. I plan on becoming a certified lifeguard in the next coming year and to continue coaching with the Aces.  My favourite strokes to swim are Breaststroke and Distance freestyle, also I enjoy open water swimming in the summertime. I’m excited to get the opportunity to help other swimmers improve their technique, learn some key skills and embrace their love for swimming.

I have been swimming with the aces for 7 years and this will be my first year coaching! I have taught private swimming lessons during the summer of 2021. During the summer of 2020 I broke a world record for youngest person ever to swim across Lake Erie( 20km) and raised $28,500 for Make-A-Wish Southwestern Ontario. I am a grade 10 student at Stratford District Secondary School. This year I am very excited to help swimmers become more comfortable in the water, develop their strokes and share my passion for swimming!
