Dr. Krista Chandler Bio

Dr. Krista Chandler | Kinesiology (uwindsor.ca)

Dr. Krista Chandler has been a Faculty member at the University of Windsor since 1999, specializing in sport, exercise, and performance psychology. In addition to her teaching and research (specializing in imagery and mental skills training), she owns and operates a consulting business, The Mental Link, in which she works with individuals striving to enhance their performance through the use of mental training. Over the last 25 years, she has worked with both able-bodied athletes and athletes with a disability at all levels of sport, from recreational through to the Olympic and Professional level.  She worked with Swim Canada as the lead sport psychology consultant for para swimming from 2005-2012. She has also worked with individuals in other performance domains including OPG (Bruce Power and Darlington) candidates, firefighters, police officers and musicians. 

 

RD Andrea Docherty Bio

Andrea Docherty is a Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist and owner of a private practice called Andrea Docherty Nutrition located in Windsor. Through personalized nutrition coaching, hands-on cooking classes and nutrition seminars she helps people develop lifelong healthy eating habits. Andrea has a strong interest in sports nutrition and has helped many local sports teams and athletes including runners, triathletes, wrestlers, gymnasts, swimmers, and hockey players achieve peak performance through proper nutrition. As an avid runner and triathlete, herself, she understands firsthand the importance of proper nutrition on fuelling and performance. Andrea obtained a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at The University of Western Ontario and completed her practical training to become a Registered Dietitian at University Health Network in Toronto.
