Santa Clara Aquamaids Lessons

Calling all young sharks and mermaids! Want to learn the tricks and secrets of synchronized swimmers? We welcome young boys and girls to join us and learn the basics of synchronized swimming. Our lesson series, developmental program, and week long camps include an introduction to synchronized swimming, cross training for other aquatic sports, flexibility training and performance techniques. 

Our fun, energetic and interactive summer camps are favorite among the South Bay and we look forward to bringing them to you in the future!  As an alternative, we have a new, exciting summer opportunity to share with you!

In order to participate; participants must be water safe and confident off the wall

SCA staff reserves the right to cancel a program due to low enrollment

Please note our REFUND POLICY

  • If participant(s) is determined by SCA expert staff NOT TO BE WATER SAFE at any time during the program; NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN
  • If participant does not complete the program and quits; NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN

Refunds will be given if:

  • Aquamaids has no pool access and/or alternative makeup dates cannot be scheduled  
  • Athlete withdrew 7 days prior to start of a session or camp. Notifications be given to SCA via email ([email protected]) 7 days prior to first day of session or camp. 
  • Medical Emergency (must have doctor?s note)
  • Please note, the $50 annual registration is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Participants must be members of USA Artistic Swimming. Instructions for registering with USA Artistic Swimming will be emailed after sign up. Fee for 1 year membership (Sept-Aug) is $54, fee for 30-day membership is  $15 (suitable for camps).


Aquatic Proficiency Lessons (New To Aquamaids Only)

Our Aquatic Proficiency Lessons are designed based on the needs of the individual. If you are interested in improving any or all of the four basic swimming strokes and/or interested in learning the various components of propulsion such as eggbeater and sculling, these lessons are for you!

-All participants must be deemed water safe by the instructor prior to the start of the first lesson.
-All packages will expire 60 days from the purchase date.
-There will be no refund for any unused lessons in the package after the 60 day start date.
-The participant has the right to reschedule or cancel a reservation up to two hours before the scheduled start of the lesson. If a cancellation takes place after the two hour window before the start of the lesson, the participant will be charged for that lesson.  --The Aquamaids have the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson up to two hours before a lesson.  If the Aquamaids cancel a lesson after the two-hour window before the start of the lesson, the participant will maintain credit for that lesson.
-If the cancellation of a lesson occurs because of a lack of facility, the participant will receive a full credit for that lesson.
-The Santa Clara Aquamaids have the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.  
-Packages can be placed on hold for up to 30 days before the remainder of the 60 days expiration.
-If an unforeseen medical issue prevents a participant from completing their package and a doctor’s note is presented, a full refund will be given for the remainder of the lessons.  

Aquamaid Assessment Day

To be a part of our pre competitive/ competitive program, swimmers must attend ONE tryout and be selected. Swimmers should come prepared in their suit and cap. They will be asked to show the skills that they learned in lessons and camps.
