Swim Meets

Congratulations!  You are ready to enter your first meet!  Swim meets are an important part of swimming, it's how kids stay motivated, learn to compete, and take accountability for their progress.   It's also a great way to engage parents and family members in our sport.  The drop down menu under "Swim Meets" have meet FAQ and what to expect at your first meet to how to sign up for your first meet.   

Types Swim Meets: 

BB MEETS (BB) - BB meets are suitable for kids that are competing for the first time or don't have any official times in certain events.  There are BB Max and Min meets, Min is minimum time standard to enter.  Max is you can not be to fast for certain meets.  The goal at these meets is to get a base time and hopefully try to achieve BLUE times or better.

BLUE MEETS (B) - Blue meets are to be entered by swimmers who have achieved blue times.  If a swimmer does not have the minimum blue time standard that he/she is not eligible to participate in that meet.  

JUNIOR OLYMPICS (JO'S), Winter Age Group Champs (WAG), Sectionals - Minimum time must be achieved to participate


The process is simple. Click the meet you plan on attending and once you have signed in, you will be brought to a webpage on our team website that will allow you to attend or decline your child to the meet.  Please be sure that the meet is suitable for your athlete.

Here are the steps if you ARE NOT GOING: 

  • Click on the Member Names [they default to Not Committed] 
  • Then click on the Signup Record pull-down and select No
  • If No, just click on the [Save Changes] button to save the changes 
  • If you have more than one child, repeat the same task as listed above

Here are the steps if you ARE GOING: 

  • Click on the Signup Record pull-down and select Yes
  • Once yes is selected, you will see the events your child MAY be eligible to swim 
  • You will also see the best times inserted into the Entry Time field and highlighted in yellow 
  • Check the Checkbox to the left of the name for those events you would like to swim 
  • Please take careful notice of and time standards that must be met in the right-side columns 
  • Once you have finished, click on the Submit Button in the lower right 
  • Repeat the process for additional swimmers 
  • You will notice that Coach Approval column will indicate Pending after you submit 
  • Please pay careful attention to:
    - Maximum Event Entry Limitations IF PRESENT. Click on the >>View if present.
    - Add any notes that you want the Coach or Administrator to see

The program director or team administrator will review your declaration and APPROVE or REJECT your request and once they submit the final choices you will be able to review by signing in and clicking on the Attend This Event button for any events listed on our team website.


Jobs sign ups are the volunteer positions that must be fulfilled by all teams that enter meets.  Unlike other teams we do not have an hourly requirement or yearly requirement for volunteer positions, but all athletes that participate in meets are required to sign up for a volunteer position.

Jobs may include:
1.  Timing - being a timer for the events (no experience necessary)
2.  Team Canopy - transport to the meet and back to our storage

3.  Timing Coordinator - Make sure all timing assingments are fullfilled
4.  Meet Coordinator - In charge of making sure all volunteer positions are met
5.  Canopy Set up and tear down 

All families are required to sign up for volunteer positions for each meet.  Failure to do so will result in a $100 fee posted to your account.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
