A swimmer must achieve times to compete in certain meets.  Here are the ranks of meets:

RW Meet (RED WHITE MEETS) - These are meets that a swimmer can enter for the first time with NT meaning No TIme. Once a swimmer has accomplished a legal race they will have a time in that event.  

B Meet (BLUE MEET) - a swimmer must acheive blue times before entering this event, these meets are for the more accomplished/experienced swimmer.

JO MAX - swimmers may swim events that they have NOT qualified for Junior Olympics in.  It is the last meet to qualify for a Junior Olympic Time Standard.  This meet is a CHAMPIONSHIP MEET.

Summer JO Meet (SUMMER JUNIOR OLYMPIC MEET) - these times are faster than blue times and a swimmer must accomplish these times in order to participate in this event.  This meet is swam Long Course Meters.  This meet is a CHAMPIONSHIP MEET.

JAG Invite Meet (JUNE AGE GROUP INViTE)these times are similar to JO times some are faster some are slower but time must be achieved to participate in this meet.  This meet is swam in Long Course Meters.  This meet is a CHAMPIONSHIP MEET.

Winter JO Meet (WINTER JUNIOR OLYMPIC MEET) -  these times are faster than blue times and a swimmer must accomplish these times in order to participate in this event.  This meet is swam in Short Course Yards.  This meet is a CHAMPIONSHIP MEET.

SCSCC Meet (SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SWIMMING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS) - these times are faster than JO times and swimmers must have minimum time standard to participate.
