Team Rebel Aquatics had a great weekend at our conference meet this past weekend, mostly led by our powerhouse of 10 and under boys and 13-14 boys! TRA hosted the Mid-Winter Invite at UNLV January 20-22. Over 550 athletes from three states competed over three days, and had a fabulous time. Our amazing parents stepped up to make the meet a huge success and everyone is looking forward to returning to Vegas to swim with us again. TRA members Rebecca Diaconescu, Madeleine Hebert and Keanu Lee traveled to Austin, Texas December 8-11 to compete in the 2022 Speedo Winter Junior Championships. Rebecca made the championship finals in both the 50 and 100 freestyle, claiming the silver medal in both events, swimming best times of 22.31 in the 50 and 48.68 in the 100. Team Rebel age group swimmers traveled to Palm Springs for a chilly weekend of swimming outdoors in December. We had a number of best times and great swims despite the cold! Team Rebel competed in the Nevada State Championships hosted by BCH. We had a number of State Champions and great swims! Highlights from our weekend: Julian Gauclain was the 11-12 high point runner up, finishing with 127 points.
