TRA at Winter Juniors

TRA members Rebecca Diaconescu, Madeleine Hebert and Keanu Lee traveled to Austin, Texas December 8-11 to compete in the 2022 Speedo Winter Junior Championships.

Rebecca made the championship finals in both the 50 and 100 freestyle, claiming the silver medal in both events, swimming best times of 22.31 in the 50 and 48.68 in the 100. She also won the bonus final in the 200 freestyle, with a best time of 1:47.15.

Maddie made the championship finals in the 100 and 200 freestyle. She was 7th in the 200 with a new best time of 1:45.76, and 4th in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.78, just .02 behind Sandpipers of Nevada's Claire Weinstein. She also made the console finals in the 50 free and 500 free, swimming a best time in the 50 at 22.73, and equalling her best time in the 500 at 4:48.56.

Keanu turned in a best time in the 400 IM, going 4:00.75, a drop of over 4 seconds.
