Winter Age Group Championships

Team Rebel age group swimmers traveled to Palm Springs for a chilly weekend of swimming outdoors in December. We had a number of best times and great swims despite the cold!

Julian Gauclain won medals in the 11-12 100 breaststroke (4th), 200 freestyle (9th), 100 IM (8th) and 50 breaststroke (6th).

Shoma Kono also medaled in the 7-10 100 breaststroke, finishing 8th with a new best time of 1:28.52. He also swam best times in the 100 fly and 200 IM.

Logan Turk swam the 7-10 50 and 100 freestyle and had best times in both, lowering his 50 free time to 30.71 and 100 free time to 1:09.57 and 3 second drop.

Yushi Kono swam best times in all four of his events, dropping 15 seconds in the 400 IM, 6 seconds in the 500 free, 4 seconds in his 200 fly and a tenth off of his 100 fly.

Also swimming best times were Asher Howard, who dropped over 6 seconds in his 100 fly, and Kirra Fenton, who dropped 2 seconds in both her 100 and 200 breaststroke.

We also swam a boys 7-10 relay and even fit in some team bonding time!
