Nevada State Championships

Team Rebel competed in the Nevada State Championships hosted by BCH. We had a number of State Champions and great swims! Highlights from our weekend:

Julian Gauclain was the 11-12 high point runner up, finishing with 127 points. He was State Champion in the 200 freestyle (2:01.04), 50 breaststroke (33.45), and 200 IM (2:15.26). He was also second in the 500 free (5:27.17), second in 100 breaststroke (1:12.50), third in the 100 free (56.15) and second in the 50 free (25.83).

Heath Turk was the 5-8 State Champion in the 25 backstroke (20.16), and also finished second in the 50 back (44.48), 7th in the 25 free, and was on two relay teams that both finished third.

Thais Tokay was the State Champion in the 13-14 200 breaststroke (2:23.72), and also finished 8th in the 400 IM (4:48.49), 3rd in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.38), and 9th in the 100 free (55.41).

Keanu Lee was State Champion in the 200 fly (1:49.75) and third in the 100 fly (50.56).

Also winning medals:

Arris Tokay, 7th in 13-14 400 IM (4:47.00), 5th in 100 breaststroke (1:08.26), 3rd in 200 breaststroke (2:26.19), and 7th in 500 free (5:26.21).

Shoma Kono, 5th in 7-10 50 breaststroke (41.89), 10th in 100 IM (1:25.52), 3rd in 100 breaststroke (1:30.95) and 7th in 200 IM (2:59.69).

Asher Howard, 3rd in 7-10 50 breaststroke (41.69), 5th in 100 IM (1:21.88), 8th in 50 fly (35.78), 4th in 100 breaststroke (1:31.05) and 5th in 200 IM (2:54.65).

Nicholas Diaconescu, 8th in the 13-14 1650 freestyle (18:13.28), 10th in the 200 IM (2:18.18), 5th in the 200 fly (2:17.60) and 3rd in the 500 free (5:17.25).

Jace Clarke, 8th place in the 5-8 50 backstroke (51.71), 8th in the 25 back (22:01) and also swam on our two third place 5-8 boys relays.

Harrison Andrada, 6th place in the 5-8 50 breaststroke (55.56) and swam our two third place relay teams.

EZ Cerda, 6th in the 11-12 50 fly (31.31), 8th in the 100 IM (1:14.66), 8th in the 100 free (1:04.15), 7th in the 100 fly (1:12.18) and 6th in the 50 free (28.52).

Issac Ko, 10th place in the 11-12 100 breaststroke (1:28.72).

Logan Turk, 9th place in the 7-10 100 IM (1:24.50), 8th place in the 100 free (1:12.48) and 8th place in the 50 free (31.78).

Bella Cordoba, 7th place in the 200 IM (2:16.23).
