Ace Aquatics Introduction to Competitive Swimming

This track is for swimmers who are new, or inexperienced in the sport of swimming. These swimmers can attend both Bakersfield Rec Meets and USA Swimming sanctioned meets. The main focus of these groups is to teach the fundamentals of competitive swimming, and to grow swimmers love and dedication to the sport of swimming.  

Guppies

Our Guppie Group consists of beginner swimmers of all ages, who are learning to swim. Our goals with our Guppie Group swimmers is to teach swimmers how to be water safe, learn beginner stroke technique, and (most importantly) to have fun! Swimmers will be taught the importance of being respectful to teammates and coaches through the lessons of our sport.

Monthly Fee: $70

Bronze

Bronze Group consists of our young swimmers (ages 5-12) who are just starting their adventure in this sport. Swimmers should be comfortable in the water and are required to be able to swim one lap, on their stomach or back, unassisted. Our goals with our Bronze Group swimmers is to develop stroke fundamentals, learn lane etiquette, and (most importantly) to have fun! Swimmers will be taught the importance of being respectful to teammates and coaches through the lessons of our sport.

Silver

Silver Group consists of our young swimmers (ages 7-12) who are looking to start swimming competitively. Swimmers should be able to swim a 1 x 100 yard  IM and a 1 x 100 yard Freestyle without stopping. Swimmers should also be able to legally swim 25-50 yards of each stroke. Silver Group is our introduction to competitive swimming. We will be teaching swimmers racing skills (starts, turns, etc.) and continuing their stroke technique development, while at the same time increasing yardage with a focus on kicking. Swimmers will develop a deeper understanding of teamwork, and learn the value of dedication and responsibility all while still being able to have fun!

The main focus of the competitive tack is to improve performance at club swim meets. 

Gold

Gold Group consists of our intermediate age competitive swimmers (ages 10-14) who work to archive time standards such as Junior Olympics and Age Group Zones. Swimmers should be able to swim 4 x 100s Freestyle on 2:00, 4 x 100s IM on 2:15, and 4 x 100s Kick on 2:30. The goals of Gold Group is to increase swimmer's confidence in their swimming ability through an increase in yardage and intensity. Gold Group values Character Traits such as Teamwork, Dedication, Responsibility, Respect, and Hard-Work. Swimmers will also learn the importance of goal setting.

Platinum Group consists of competitive swimmers (ages 13-15) who are working to achieve Senior Zones time standards. Platinum group swimmers should be able to swim 6 x 100s Freestyle on 1:30, 6 x 100s IM on 1:40, 6 x 100s Kick on 1:50. The Platinum Group will be taught advanced knowledge of the sport with an emphasis on competition. These swimmers will be expected to display values such as Dedication, Responsibility, Respect, Hard-Work, and Teamwork daily. Additionally Platinum Group will be taught nutrition, goal setting, and mental toughness concepts.

The Elite Group are our high school age swimmers (ages 15-18) who are working to achieve Sectional and Junior National time standards. Elite group swimmers are required to have 3+ Senior Zones cuts and should be able to swim 10 x 100s Freestyle on 1:15, 6 x 200 IMs on 3:00, and 10 x 100s Kick on 1:40. The Elite Group will emphasize improvements on stroke technique, strength, and racing skills. As the young leaders of our club, Elite swimmers are held to the highest standards on our team values with an emphasis on leadership. These swimmers will strive to become students of all aspects of the sport.

Ace Aquatics Fitness Track

Our Fitness Track is for athletes 18 & Under who are just looking to have fun and stay in shape. These classes are perfect for athletes of all skill level!

Rise Group 

The Rise Group is our 13 and over swimmers who are focused on their growth and development for their high school season. The group's primary goal is maintaining and improving their physical fitness and stroke technique. There are no practice or meet requirements, but swimmers are encouraged to attend practices and meets to measure their success in the sport. We encourage and support these swimmers in their desires to participate in other sports and activities outside of Ace Aquatics.  

Monthly Fee: $125

Monthly Fee for Unlimited Practices: $75 a Month or $125 a Month for a Couples Package (Same Household)

Masters

Our Masters program is for adult swimmers (18+). Swimming is a lifelong sport, and is one of the best ways to loose weight, gain muscle, and stay in great overall shape. We hope to be able to grow and expand our program in the near future to increase the amount of masters practices, and to increase the time slot available to swim.

Surf & Turf

Our Surf & Turf program is a fun and exciting way to enjoy the water and get an incredible workout. Surf & Turn is HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Workout) program that combines running, exercises on dry-land, and swimming. Surf and Turf workouts are one hour long, and start with a 30-minute land workout, then we hop into the pool for a 30-minute pool workout. Our workouts are a great introduction to swimming and generally will have very short, very quick laps. A perfect workout for ages 18 and older.
