Gold Group

Gold Group consists of our intermediate age competitive swimmers (ages 10-14) who work to archive time standards such as Junior Olympics and Age Group Zones. The goals of Gold Group is to increase swimmer's confidence in their swimming ability through an increase in yardage and intensity. Gold Group values Character Traits such as Teamwork, Dedication, Responsibility, Respect, and Hard-Work. Swimmers will also learn the importance of goal setting. 

Group Requirements: 

• A minimum age of 9 is required.
• 4 x 100s freestyle on the 2:00 interval.
• 4 x 100s kick on the 2:15 interval
• A legal 100 of IM (1 x 25 of fly, back, breast, and free).

Monthly Fee: $135 *Price Increase for any incoming athletes will be effective after May 15, 2023... $145/monthly*  

Practice Schedule (Bakersfield College):

• Monday - Thursday @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
• Friday @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Saturday @ 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Summer Schedule (STARTS JUNE 5th!!!)

• Monday - Friday @ 6:15 PM - 8:00 PM
• Saturday @ 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Required Equipment: 

• Practice Suit (we discourage the use of "leisure" swimwear such as board shorts, swim shirts, bikinis, etc.) 
• Goggles 
• Caps (for swimmers with long hair) 
• Kick Board
• Snorkel 
• Fins (preferably long)
• Paddles (ask Coach Jackson for assistance in sizes)
• Pull Bouy
• Water Bottle 
• Gym Clothing (appropriate for dryland)

Swim Meets:

• Meets are required for those wishing to move up to the Platinum Group. 
• Team cap and 3 team shirts are required for meet participation.
