Clovis Masters Dive Into Spring Meet - HEAT SHEETS

YES!  We are hosting a Masters Swim Meet!  

When?  Sunday, March 19.  Warm up begins at 7:30am.  Meet begins at 9:00am.

Where?  Clovis North High School.

Who?  Registered US Masters Swimmers.  Registration with Clovis Masters is not a USMS registration.  USMS registration is done separately and 100% compulsory for registration in this meet.  CLICK THIS LINK to register with USMS.

Why?

This idea was spawned by one of our masters coaches, Gary Ota, back last summer.  Gary had attended the Masters Nationals in Richmond, VA with masters swimmer and US National Qualifier, Danielle Herrmann.  As Danielle tore through the masters national and world record books at the meet, the question came to Gary, "Why doesn't Clovis have masters meets?"  

Here we are months later and it looks like we can and WILL have one!  The purpose is to support and boost enthusiasm for competitive masters swimming in the Fresno/Clovis area.  The Masters National Championships will be in Irvine, CA, April 27 - 30 and this meet would be a good way to not only guage interest in bringing a group to the national meet, but also QUALIFY for the meet.

I know there is a VERY short turn around on deciding your ability to attend this event.  My hope is that my inability to get the wheels moving hasn't turned off the steam that Gary turned on last summer.  Let's see if we can make this a great representation of what we are working to do in the water!
