Age Group Swimmers of the Month: October 2020!

Seahorse Swimmer of the Month

TJ Graves

TJ comes to every practice offered to his pod with an eagerness to improve. He has demonstrated immense patience as he continues to learn stroke techniques. TJ's willingness to push through practice and take directions from his coaches all while being patient and staying positive has been admirable. I am proud to see TJ continuing to improve and do so with a smile on his face. Congratulations on your Swimmer of the Month, TJ!

Congrats,

Swimmer of the Month

 Colby Powell

Colby has rarely missed any practices and when he’s in the water he’s always positive and ready to swim his best! He always makes sure on what we are doing and always makes sure to ask about anything he is confused about. Congratulations on being swimmer of the month, Colby!

Congrats,

-Coach Katie

White Swimmer of the Month

Marc Johnston

Marc’s energetic personality is (almost) unmatched by anyone else at practice. Him and the other swimmers as always competing in everything… who has the fastest swim, best streamline, and even loudest cheering. He puts a tremendous effort into each practice, and always is looking for ways to improve. Congratulations Marc!

Congrats,

- Coach Shannon

Blue

Swimmer of the Month

Lily Martinez

Lily is awesome! There are many reasons why she is Blue Groups Swimmer of the Month. She comes to practice focused and prepared to put forth her best effort. She is a great example for the newcomers of the group, with both her dedication and kind personality. Lily also encourages others to do their best by cheering them on and helping others with drills and skills. Congrats

Lily, keep it up!

 Swimmer of the Month

Liam Milne

Liam is a great addition to the East Novice Group! He joined us from Summer League and has shown tremendous growth in the pool. He is always willing to ask questions, take feedback, and did an amazing job in our first race day! We can't wait to see what he does in our program in the future, way to go Liam.

Congrats,

East Developmental Swimmer of the Month

Jacob Covey

Since the start of the school year and this quarter Jacob has put in amazing work in the pool! He moved into the Blue group, attends as many practices as he can, and got his first JO cut for the season. He works hard daily and has really started to open up and become one of the leader in the group! Way to go Jacob!

Gold

Swimmer of the Month

Cherlou Lopez

Cherlou's road to where she is has NOT been easy.  She was a team record holder and a Far Western qualifier as a 10&Under.  One would think that she would be on the way to swimming glory based on that start!  Shoulder inflammation over the course of the next few years almost stopped her in her tracks.  For a few years now, Cherlou has been tasked the following:  only being able to swim lightly, having to kick for entire practices, significantly modifying dryland, missing out on meets and trips.  It's been REALLY hard, but she has NOT quit!  NOW, she is swimming more than ever!  She is training faster than ever!  She is doing things in practice better than ever!  She is taking HUGE steps forward.  This is not a path MOST swimmers take.  That's because Cherlou has been outside her comfort zone, A LOT!  I KNOW that she knows what it takes to keep moving forward!  I know she has the resolve to do it!  Keep on taking that next stroke!

Congrats,

- Coach Mark

Advanced Prep

 Swimmer of the Month

Ryan Wells

Although a newcomer to swimming, Ryan shows that he’s willing to put in the work and ask questions about how he can improve his swimming. He has a great attitude everyday and I look forward to seeing what he’ll be able to do!

Congrats,

- Coach Tanner
