Our Staff
Meet our year-round staff members! Take some time to learn more about the leadership working on the pool deck and behind the scenes for Southeastern Swim School. With each of us having over 20 years of experience in swimming, we understand the importance of everyone learning how to be safe and have fun while swimming. If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact us at our emails below or look for one of us during your swim lesson!
Blake Brewer
Director of Operations
Blake Brewer is the Swim School Director of Operations for Southeastern Swim School as well as Southeastern Swim Club. He is the head coach of the Lionfish Silver group and brings a high level of energy and passion to SSC. He is an assistant coach with the High School and Masters groups as well.
Previously, Blake has fulfilled various coaching and aquatics director duties with Carmel Swim Club, the Bridgewater Club, Azionaqua, and Lawrence Swim Team, where he was the head coach of the Lawrence Central High School team. In these positions, he coached a wide variety of ages, abilities, and experience levels.
Blake is a Zionsville and Ball State University graduate who lives in Greenfield with his wife, Jordan, their son Liam Michael and their dog, Toby. Swimming is ingrained in who he is, and his passion is helping young athletes learn and understand a sport that he has loved for over 20 years.
He loves coaching with Southeastern because it feels like a family - from the close-knit coaching staff to the enthusiasm of the athletes, he is proud to be part of a team that helps each other every day.
Jenny Hanselmann
Head Adaptive Swim Instructor
Jenny Hanselmann is a certified Swim Whisperer instructor. She has been swimming her whole life, competing through high school and college. A 21-time NCAA All-American at the University of Tennessee, she majored in Therapeutic Recreation. She lives in Carmel with her husband, Christian, and three children: Liam, Olivia, and Riley. Meghan Haws
Swim School Manager & Instructor
Hello everyone, my name is Meghan and I’m a junior at HSE. I have always loved swimming and my cousins are swimmers here at HSE. When I’m not working you can catch me taking photos at swim meets or participating in FFA events which is a club I am really passionate about!
Kylie Sutherlin
Swim School Manager
Hi! I'm Kylie Sutherlin and I am a 2016 graduate of HSE High School. I then continued my education and swimming career at Eastern Michigan University. I swam competitively for 16 years before hanging up my goggles in 2020 and have been teaching swim lessons since 2012. My time around the pool is not rare as I am also the head Flying Fish coach at SSC. I am also an Exceptional Learners teacher at HSE High School!
In my free time, I love to be outside, spend time with my friends and family, and vacation in South Carolina any chance I can! I look forward to continuing working with kids and sharing my love of the water with a new generation of young swimmers! :)
