The Colorado STARS team is formed and competes in its first meet

2000

STARS competes in its first Colorado Short Course and Long Course State Championships meets

2003

STARS wins its first Colorado Short Course State Championship 

2004

STARS wins its first Colorado Long Course State Championship

2008

STARS has its first Olympic Trials Qualifier, Missy Franklin

Head Coach Todd Schmitz wins Age Group Coach of the Year Award from American Swim 
Coaches Association (ASCA) and Colorado Swimming

2009

Todd Schmitz takes over as Head Coach

STARS wins the Girls Long Course and Short Course Junior National Championships 

Head Coach Todd Schmitz and STARS Swimmer Missy Franklin represent Team USA and the National Youth Team in Stockholm, Sweden and Berlin, Germany

Head Coach Todd Schmitz wins Age Group Coach of the Year Award from American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) and Senior Coach of the Year Award from Colorado Swimming

Coach Mike Peterson named Colorado High School Coach of the Year

2010

STARS wins its first Western Blue Short Course Sectional Woman’s Team Title

STARS Women place 5th at its first Grand Prix meet 

Swimmer Jordan Mattern competes for Team USA in the first ever Youth Olympics in Singapore and finals in all 4 events

Swimmer Kelly Naze competes for USA Swimming National Youth Team in the Junior Pan Pacific Championships, winning a Silver medal in the 100 Fly and a Gold Medal in the 400 Medley Relay

Swimmer Missy Franklin wins Swimmer of the Year Award from Colorado Swimming and the USA Swimming Golden Goggle Award for Breakout Performer of the Year

Head Coach Todd Schmitz wins Developmental Coach of the Year Award from USA Swimming and Senior Coach of the Year Award from Colorado Swimming

Coach Karen Ammon is nominated for Age Group Coach of Year by Colorado Swimming

2012 

Alum Caroline Piehl and the Cal Bears win the NCAA Championships

Swimmer Missy Franklin makes USA Olympic team in a record 7 events [100 Free, 200 Free, 100 Back, 200 Back, 400 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay, 800 Free Relay] and finishes London Olympics as the most decorated female swimmer of the meet with 4 Gold medals and 1 Bronze medal

Head Coach Todd Schmitz named to the USA Olympic Swim Team Staff as a Woman’s Assistant Coach

Swimmer Missy Franklin wins Colorado Female Swimmer of the Year Award

Alum Jordan Mattern sets American Record in the 800 FR at University of Georgia

STARS wins the Central Zone Spring Sectionals Championship
