Senior 1        



  • This is the last step in the DSA training group progression; the highest level of Senior swimming
  • Our emphasis is on training and competing at a Senior National level and progressing to a collegiate program
  • Swimmers need to be committed to training year round and dedicated to reaching their optimum performance
  • Dry land is an important tool in the swimmer's training

General Age

  • 14 and older, High School and over

Skill Requirements

  • High School Sectional qualifying times  (minimum) or exhibit a Senior 1 training level  
  • We expect our Senior swimmers to be team leaders


  • Practices are offered 8 to 9 times per week for two hours
  • Swimmers should expect to swim 5000 - 7000 yards
  • Swimmers are required to attend all practices, unless excused by a coach.  Doubles are expected
  • We are currently using our Fall Practice Schedule
M-W-F 3:30 - 3:45pm Dynamic Warm Up
M-W-F 3:45 - 5:45pm Practice
T-TH 5:00 - 6:30am Practice
T-TH 3:30 - 5:45pm Practice - In Water Dry Land
Sat. 6:00 - 8:00am Practice

Practice Equipment

  • Swimmers are required to have fins, snorkel, paddles, buoy, and cords

Swim Meets

  • Swimmers should attend all team meets and the highest level championship meets decided by the coach and swimmer.  Travel will be required
  • Goal events will be decided by the coach and swimmer
