        Signup to be a Timer        

Timing is a Great Way to Support Your Swimmer

Some meet hosts will require attending teams to supply volunteer lane timers.  DSA does not require volunteer hours from families, as many teams do.  This is a great way to be a part of your swimmer's activity. If everyone signs up, it is normally less than a 90 minute commitment per meet.

Below is our Lane Timer Policy and How to Signup to be a Timer.

Lane Timer Policy

  • Once DSA has received lane timer assignments from the meet host, a Job Sign Up will be posted on the meet page.

  • An email will be sent out.  Parents will have 24-48 hours (depending on the lead time the meet host gives us) to sign up for the shift of choice.

  • After the initial sign up period, the Job Sign Up will be closed and families will be assigned shift times.

  • Once signed up, it will be your responsibility to cover your shift.

  • Accounts will be charged $50 on the Monday following the meet if you fail to cover your shift.

  • Meet Officials who are on deck for that meet are not required to sign up for timing shifts.

How to Signup to be a Timer…..

1) Sign into your DSA account/website

2) Go to the Events page

  • On the side menu click Events & Competition > Team Events

  • Or click MEETS on the top of our homepage

​3) Find the upcoming meet in the list and click Job Signup

4) Check the boxes (<) by the jobs you will work. Be careful not to pick conflicting times

5) Click Signup

6)  In the popup box......

  • Enter the name of the person who will be working the job, phone number - optional

  • Click Sign Up

Please Supply Your Volunteer's Information
Please provide any additional contact information for the person who will actually be doing the work.

7)  If you accidentally signup for the wrong job, or later discover you can't work a job.....

  • Select the job and click Remove Signup.  You can do this up until 11:59pm of the Job Signup Deadline at the top of the page
  • If you discover you can't work a job after the Job Signup Deadline, it's your responsibility to find somone to cover your shift

​8)  You may click Print My Job Signup Summary near the top for a reference


How to See Jobs I Have Signed Up For

1)  Sign in to your DSA account/website

2)  Go to the Event & Job Reports

  • In the side menu click Events & Competition > Event & Job Reports

3)  Click Job Signup Report for My Account link

4)  Enter date parameters for job report

5)  Click Search​
