Dolphins Group
Our Dolphins practice group is a developmental program for 6 to 8 year olds, introducing them to competitive swimming.  Coaches will teach/demonstrate a variety of drills for all four strokes, helping swimmers become more confident with their posture, line, balance, and comfort level.  Our goals are to provide a positive learning atmosphere where swimmers can develop their skills for all four strokes, gain an understanding and appreciation of club swimming, and begin fostering an enjoyment for the sport.
Skill Requirements
  • Swimmers must be able to perform a 25 yard freestyle and 25 yard backstroke, with a basic understanding of butterfly and breaststroke.  Athletes must be able to pay attention in a group setting and cooperate with teammates.
  • Prior to joining the group, participants must complete an assessment, held at the Regis High School pool.  Assessments will be held a couple of weeks before the start of eah session (we will accept new swimmers during a session, depending upon the current size of the group).  Please contact Coach Chris to schedule an appointment.
  • We offer three sessions throughout the year.  We encourage swimmers to participate in all three, but is not a requirement.
    • Winter Session (mid-November to mid-February); session will begin Tuesday, November 19
    • Spring Session (mid-February to mid-May)
    • Summer Session (mid-May to end of July)
  • Fins are required.  We recommend two pair of goggles and a water bottle.
  • $250 per session (3 month period)
  • $74 USA Swimming annual membership
  • Upon approval, parents will register their swimmer through our Team Registration.  Swimmers will not be charged the DSA annual family membership.
