Dolphins
Description

Our Dolphins practice group is a developmental program for our 6 to 8 year old siblings.  Swimmers will learn a variety of drills for all four strokes, helping them become more comfortable and confident with their posture, line, and balance.  Our goal is to provide a positive learning atmosphere where swimmers can develop their skills for all four strokes, and develop an appreciation and enjoyment of swimming.

Skill Requirements
  • Swimmers must be able to perform a 25 yard freestyle and 25 yard backstroke without stopping, and in a timely manner.
  • Swimmers should also have a basic understanding of butterfly and breaststroke.
  • Athletes must be able to pay attention and listen in a group setting.
  • Swimmers need to understand we don't practice in a "lesson pool" where the temperature is much higher than a competition pool.
Season
  • Our Dolphins Season begins a little later than our other practice groups, mid-November.
  • Season goes from mid-November to the end of July.
Tryouts
  • Prior to joining the group, participants must complete a tryout, held at the Regis High School Pool.
  • Tryouts will be held at the end of October.  Information will be posted on our website and emailed to all of our current DSA families.
  • We may accept tryouts throughout the year depending on the group size.
