Practice Guidelines
Practice Attendance
  • Each of our training groups have specific attendance requirements that are appropriate for the objectives of that group.  It is essential that swimmers adhere to their group's requirements to maintain group consistency, ensuring all swimmers are training at the same technical and conditioning level.
  • Swimmers and parents are responsible for knowing their group's attendance policy.
  • If a swimmer is going on vacation or is sick for an extended period of time, please email your coach.  Our coaches do become concerned when a swimmer misses an unusual amount of time.
  • Swimmers continually arriving late to practice can be a distraction to the entire team.
  • Swimmers are expected to be ready to get in the water at their designated practice or meet warm up time.
  • Please understand that warming up is an important piece to a successful practice.
  • We understand there are things that happen out of our control, such as traffic or weather; we just don't want to establish a pattern of being late.
  • If you know your swimmer will be late to a practice ahead of time, please email your group coach.
Pool Deck
We ask our members to abide by our pool deck practice policy.....
  • Parents, family, and friends are welcome to watch the first and last 10 minutes of practice.

  • Please allow our coaches to teach and interact with swimmers.

  • If you have a question, please wait until after practice or send an email.

  • We want swimmers to be able to follow instructions, perform the set correctly, and maintain a consistent practice effort without their parents/family being on deck.

Before And After Practice
  • Please do not drive or park on the road in front of the pool/field house; this is a fire lane/road.
  • Use the parking lot south of the boys school for parking and for pick up/drop off.
  • Remind your swimmer(s) to be cautious when walking along the fire lane/road.  There are many activities taking place at the school and some people do not follow the rules and drive on the road.
  • Please do not drop swimmers off more than 15 minutes prior to practice and plan to pick up no later than 5-10 minutes at the conclusion of practice.
  • Do not leave items in locker rooms or lobby area, leave them on the bleachers in the pool area.
  • Swimmers and siblings are not allowed to play or hang around outside the pool bubble at anytime. This is a liability issue.
  • While waiting for practice to start, swimmers must sit on the bleachers inside the pool area.
  • Please remind swimmers that we are guests at Regis Jesuit High School and to follow the rules and be respectful of the facilities.
