The Junior Team is for the newest athletes to the sport of swimming. The main emphasis is on stroke improvement in the four competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle). Coaches also work with the swimmers on starts and turns in preparation for swim meets. The team is broken up into two groups based on age and ability. The Beginner Group is for swimmers who need a little more fine tuning on technique.
 
General Characteristics
  • 10 years old or younger
  • Experience in CARA Swimming, Summer League Swimming, or Swim Lessons
  • Capable of swimming a 25 of Front Crawl and Back Crawl (Beginner Group)
  • Proper technique with breaststroke kick (Beginner Group)
