ASSISTANT SWIM COACH

FORM Swim Team is seeking energetic, fun-loving assistant coaches to help coach our USA Swim Team. Our team goal is to provide a positive, team-oriented environment with an emphasis on teaching and developing the skills needed to become a well-rounded swimmer and athlete, with the end goal of fostering a love for the sport of swimming.

FORM Swim team is located in Centennial, Colorado and practices at Eaglecrest High School. We’re a member of Colorado Swimming, a branch of USA Swimming. And we practice all year round, including the long course and short course seasons.

The team has approximately 130 members, ages 6 to 18, ranging in abilities from rookies to state level swimmers. There are 4 different practice groups that are held in the late afternoon into the evening, with the earliest practice starting at 4:00 pm and the last practice ending at 9:00 pm. We attend 1 to 2 swim meets per month, primarily in the Denver metro area. Assistant coaches are part-time and will be assigned to at least one practice group, with the hope he or she will eventually be the head coach of that group. 

Primary coaching duties include creating and managing workouts for assigned practice groups, attending all scheduled practices and at least 1 meet/month, substituting for head coach when needed, tracking and managing swimmer attendance, helping with home meet setup, communicating with the team, ensuring swimmer safety at all times, and attending team functions. Secondary coaching duties include assisting with meet entries and creating relay teams through our Team Unify website, and other minor job duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Minimum Qualifications

- USA Swimming Coach Certification or ability to obtain before employment

- Swimming experience (either as coach or athlete)

- At least 18 years old

Normal Practice Group Schedules

- Junior Team > Tuesday and Thursday (4:00 pm - 5:30 pm)
- Senior Team > Monday and Wednesday (4:00 pm - 5:30 pm) | Friday (4:30 pm - 6:00 pm)

- Evening 2 Team > Tuesday (7:30 pm - 9:00 pm) | Thursday (7:15 pm - 8:45 pm)

- Evening 3 Team > Monday and Wednesday (7:00 pm - 8:30 pm) | Friday (6:00 pm - 7:30 pm)
