GTS encourages young people to develop the character and self-discipline necessary to succeed in swimming and throughout life, while the program fosters success and excellence from the novice through the national and international levels.

The Greenwood Tiger Sharks started in 1989. The team is open to swimmers of all ability levels, from novice to regional to national. The swimmer's progress and success is directly related to the swimmer's commitment, desire and motivation. The program is designed by a professional coaching staff interested in developing successful people as well as successful swimmers.
