Danielle Allen - Assistant Coach / Lead Candelas Site Coach

A Brighton Bullfrog at the age of 7, I had to work really hard at swimming and have always been driven by a challenge. I became a distance swimmer, specializing in the 200 and 500 free, 200 IM, 200 and 400 free relays. I did it all. Silver Circuit, Districts, Regionals, Division I and II, Zones. At 14, I was invited to train at Stanford, Texas University and the Air Force Academy. I went to the Air Force training camp for a week. At age 16 I certified and became a coach. I helped with the middle school swim team, mainly 11-12 boys and girls. Then I got married out of high school and became a Mama. I have four children: Elijah, 18, Elianna 15, Elisha 14 and Ezekiel 10. Athletics is a huge part of who we are as a family. Now that my kids are getting a little older, I can get back to the pool, since they are not swimmers. We live in Arvada and are active members of our community. I am PTSA President at Arvada High, as well as team Mom for our football and wrestling squads.
