Loveland Swim Club - Starting Block Fundraiser

As you might know, a starting block is vital to success in competition. The starting block is where every swimming race begins, and a good start can be the difference between a qualifying time or falling short. The starting blocks currently installed at our home pool, Mountain View Aquatic Center, are outdated in terms of speed and performance and they may also become a safety hazard in the future without repairs and monitoring. For these reasons, we are fundraising to replace them with Spectrum Xcellerator blocks.

Additionally, the new blocks will:

  • Enable all our swimmers to learn and develop a start that is extremely competitive at any level of competition.
  • Provide a larger, safer, and more comfortable platform for teaching young and new swimmers how to dive.
  • Attract more competition from all over the state to our home meets.
  • Increase the quality and value of the Mountain View Aquatic Center as a whole.

Each block will cost about $4,685, and the project will total around $37,480. This amount will cover the purchase of the eight blocks as well as installation costs. These blocks will be utilized by all age groups and will benefit all our swimmers and our team by attracting more teams to attend our meets. We would greatly appreciate any donations towards this much-needed improvement.

There are three great ways you can help us achieve our goal now.

1: Palisade Peach Fundraiser:

We are holding a Palisade Peach fundraiser for Loveland Swim Club. The peach sales will go toward our new starting blocks. We would like swimmers/Families to pre -sale the peaches. We have emailed out a sales form to use, but if you need one please email [email protected] to get a new one.

We will have 1 more delivery date  Aug. 19th (order due Aug. 16th) Your customers can pick which delivery date they would like to receive their peaches. The cost is $45 per box. Each box is about 20-22lbs. Customers can split a box with a friend, but they will need to organize that within themselves. We will pick up the peaches from the farm and bring them to MVAC for you to pick up. You will then deliver your boxes to your customers that you pre-sold to. Our team goal is to sell 600 boxes. That would raise about $11,000 towards our blocks. I hope you accept our challenge.

Estimated Delivery Date:  August 19th @ 11:00am in the MVAC Parking Lot

Cost: $45/ 20-22lb box

Make check payable to: Loveland Swim Club (if you take cash please indicate on your sales sheet or put the check # with the sale)
