Air Force senior Michael Barnosky earned All-American honors at the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech, Friday, March 25.  Barnosky finished third in the finals of the 100 breast stroke with a new Academy and WAC record time of 51.89. He was sixth entering the finals with a time of 52.13. Barnosky broke his own school and WAC record of 51.98 he set at the WAC Championships back in February.

He is Air Force’s first men’s swimming All-American since Chris Knaute earned honorable mention honors in 2006 in the 400 IM and 500 free.

"Whan an unbelievable night for Air Force swimming," head coach Rob Clayton said. "Michael earned All-American honors and set an Academy, conference and service academy record. He was seventh at the first wall, fifth at the second wall and, in the last 50, was the fastest swimmer in the pool, passing guys all the way to a third-place finish. Michael represented the Academy and Air Force swimming very well."
