Andrew Farner Head Coach & Owner

Coach Andy is the Head Coach and Owner of SlipStream Aquatics.  He specifically is the Head Coach of the Giant Cuttlefish Group.

Andy has been involved with the sport of swimming for 37 years.  He swam competitively until he was 18 at the Club, High School and Summer League levels.  He has been coaching since he was 18.  During his years as a coach he has been fortunate to have worked with many teams:

Andy has also achieved many certifications and awards throughout his coaching career:

In addition to coaching, Andy enjoys spending time with his son and daughter, playing golf, watching movies and eating ice cream!  He is thrilled to work with so many great coaches and swimmers!

Annastasia Koerner Assistant Head Coach/Team Registrar
Anna (Annastasia) coaches the Pre-Team and Cuttlefish groups for SlipStream Aquatics. She joined the Slipstream Aquatics coaching staff in the fall of 2018. Along with SlipStream, she is the Head Coach for the Homestead Farms Tarpons. Anna has coached swimmers preparing for special olympics in the Las Vegas Area.
Originally from Texas, Anna moved to Colorado in 2016. Anna has been involved in swimming since she was six months old! She swam for her first club team, Blue Wave, in the summer after her 6th grade year. She swam competitively for her middle school, and competed as a varsity swimmer all four years of high school. While also swimming club, she made it to the 5A Texas State Meet in 2007 and 2008. 
Anna is an alumni of the University of Nevada Las Vegas! She attained her B.A. in Psychology, and a minor in Anthropology. 
While not on the pool deck, Anna enjoys spending time with her daughter Cecilia. She still loves swimming, and participated in the Swim Across America Event at Chatfield Reservoir in August of 2018. 
Her goal is to have her swimmers become the best possible versions of themselves in and out of the pool!
Devin Nash Assistant Coach

Coach Devin is the Head Coach of the Humboldt Squid group for the 2021-2022 season.

My Name is Devin Nash, I am a Sophomore at Arapahoe Community College.  I first started my swimming career at age five with the Ben Franklin summer team, where I swam for 13 years.  Additionally from ages 8 through 13 I swam for the Aqua Wolves year round team. In 2015 I started working for South Suburban teaching stroke clinics for pre-swimteam kids and teaching swim lessons to non swimmers.  My junior year of high school I was lucky enough to have our Head Coach Andy Farner transition to LHS as my swim coach.  I qualified for State multiple times during my high school career and was captain my senior year.  I started coaching for Slipstream Aquatics in the 2017-2018 swim season and had a blast doing so.  I'm looking forward to another great year on the team and am excited to see the team grow!

Toby Mullarkey Assistant Coach

Coach Toby is the Head Coach of the Kraken Elite group for the 2021-2022 season.

Coach Toby started swimming when he was seven years old for the Ken Caryl Lightning. After a few years of swimming summer club, he moved to year round swimming with CARA and later club with Foothills Swim Team. He also swam for his high school, D’Evelyn, and his college, Lafayette. Upon leaving Lafayette, he moved back to Colorado where he is currently coaching multiple teams and is finishing up his degree to become a history teacher. He has been the head coach for Ken Caryl Swim Club for the past six years and D’Evelyn for the past four years.

Coach Toby is excited to begin working with Slipstream. Though he has an affinity for high school swimming, he truly loves coaching swimmers of all ages and abilities. He prioritizes building relationships with all of his swimmers and promoting a positive experience for everyone he coaches. He loves the challenge of bettering his swimmer by balancing technical development, quality swimming, and hard work. He is excited to work with all of your swimmers and help them become the best people that they can!

Alejandro Barin Assistant Coach

Coach Alex is the Head Coach for the Giant Cuttlefish and the Kraken groups for the 2021-2022 season. 

Coach Alex started swimming year-round for the Jersey Storm at 11 years old.  After moving to South Carolina, he continued his swimming career with Ridge View High School and on Clemson's club team.  He started coaching in 2009 for his summer league team and eventually for the YMCA of Columbia Swim Club in 2013.  He also helped start a local Masters program for the YMCA, the Soda City Swarm.

Alex is a swim nerd in and out of the pool, enjoying learning, talking, and applying new techniques in the sport.  He is a big proponent of building a positive team culture through discussing the mental aspects of training, supporting friendly competition, and keeping the sport fun!  

Outside of swimming, Alex likes anything related to fitness and other sports.  He played lacrosse throughout middle school & high school and has participated in a variety of obstacle-course races for the past 8 years.  He is extremely excited to join SlipStream Aquatics and help the team grow into something even more special!  It is his passion to develop kids not just as athletes but as good people!

Erin Harmon Athletic Trainer

Erin  Harmon is the Athletic Trainer for SlipStream Aquatics. She is new to assisting the SlipStream Aquatics team this year and will be teaching the swimmers how to care for their bodies and become the best athletes possible! 

Erin graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2003 and has 17 years of experience working with student athletes. The main role of an athletic trainer is to help prevent injuries and once injuries do occur help the student athlete recover quickly, safely, with a proper return to swimming. Erin's main role with SlipStream Aquatics will be helping prevent injuries. She will lead stretching, foam rolling, body weight training and many more fun activities to help the swimmers have a lifelong love for swimming. 
In her downtime Erin enjoys spending time hiking, biking and hitting the slopes with her husband Bradlee and going for walks with her dog Boulevard.
