Registration 2019-2020

Open for Returning Members

Open for New Members

8/19/19 - 7/31/20

Early registrations have come with a few common questions. Please read the following answers to our FAQ's before continuing:
  1. Bronze & Silver Training; schedule options: All Bronze groups will be changing to 2x45-minute workouts at their home facility, and will continue with the same 1hr swim and 30min dryland on Wednesdays at Kinsmen. This means that at most home pools there will be more than one training time option. As soon as the 2019-20 practice schedules are confirmed, all Bronze families will be contacted in the order of their registration date to ask them for their preferred practice time according to the schedule options. Terwillegar Silver families will also be contacted in the order of their registration date to select their preferred practice time.
  2. Training Schedules: In short, these will be posted as soon as they are confirmed, hopefully within 1-2 weeks. The city of Edmonton has had many difficulties with their facilities over the last 5 years, and this summer is no different. We cannot confirm our training schedules until all of our pool rental licenses are final with the city. As of registration opening on August 19, 2019, we expect there to be several changes for parents to note at this time...
    • Bonnie Doon and Jasper Place Pools will open in January 2020. There will be a chance after the season starts to declare an intention to move to one of those pools once they open. Our Team Unify platform does not have the ability to add such a question at this time, so we will collect that information once the season is underway.
    • Confederation Bronze and Silver schedules will shift days. Bronze will be Tuesday (4:00-4:45pm and 4:45-5:30pm) and Friday (5:30-6:15pm and 6:15-7:00pm) - this will allow those Bronze swimmers to train in the 25m pool on Fridays, giving them the best of both the teaching tank on Tuesdays and some competitive pool lengths on Fridays. Silver will be Monday, Thursday and Friday (4:15-5:30pm).
    • Terwillegar Bronze and Silver will have some minor shifts due to the change of Bronze to a 45min practice. We are given a very finite amount of pool time at Terwillegar, and we are still pushing the facility for the best possible training options. Please expect some changes to your practice schedule. We are working to quickly confirm this for you.
    • Meadows, Kinsmen and Royal Glenora schedules will be largely unchanged, but please read the schedules when they are posted to confirm.
  3. Group Names: The Development Program remains the same (Bronze, Silver, Gold), whereas the Performance Program has shifted to the following new names:
    • Junior Provincial Group (formerly "Provincial"): This is Desmond's group, and remains designed for our top 11-12 year olds moving up from the Gold program.
    • Senior Provincial Group (formerly "Youth Development'): This is Bryner's group, and remains designed for our developing 13+ year olds moving up from Gold or Junior Provincial.
    • Junior National Group (formerly "Junior Championship"): This is Alex's group, and remains designed for our top 13-15 year olds moving up from Junior and Senior Provincial.
    • Senior National Group (formerly "National or iNational"): This is Paul's group, and remains designed for our top 15+ year olds moving up from the Junior National Group.

Welcome to the Edmonton Keyano Swim Club Electronic Registration platform for our upcoming swim season! We are pleased to offer electronic payment processing and registration. The process is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you to easily declare for swim meets, sign-up for volunteer jobs, see your swimmers' results, maintain your own contact information, and more.
Changes and notes for the registration process this season:
  1. We have moved our payment processing from the website itself to Quickbooks accounting software. Our website will still maintain all of your account and billing information, however, payment processing will be done via Quickbooks. This decision will save the club over 1% in credit card fees on all payments made, which saves all of us thousands of dollars that can now be spent on more coaches and programming for our swimmers.
  2. We have learned that Team Unify does not show pool locations until after payment is received and a member is fully activated in the system. This is a website glitch that we cannot control, however, within 24hrs of registration Colleen Bannon will be issuing a Quickbooks invoice and payment system to your email address, which will include your selected pool location. The Quickbooks invoice is your official invoice, so please forward any questions you have once you receive it.
  3. Membership deposits were new in 2018-19, and so for the first time we are asking in our registration process if parents would like to carry forward their deposit. Any members not returning to Keyano in 2019-20 will have their deposits returned once the season's commitments and fees are reconciled after the season end, on August 31. Rolling your deposit forward will be shown on your registration invoice for your records, so you can see that your deposit is still held in trust for you.
Thank you for joining the Edmonton Keyano Swim Club - we are excited for another great season!
