Senior Zones Recap

Nicole Reynolds kicked off Western Zones for FAST with a lifetime best in the 100 free, finishing 1:01.09. Mishka Little, Renee Trombley, and Josh Goodrich all also picked up lifetime best races, finishing 1:02.61, 1:03.3, and 56.22 respectively. Renee finished day one for us with a 2:34.73 in the 200 back.
Nicole also kicked off day 2 with another lifetime best in the 200 free - 2:15.83. Renee also hit a lifetime best in her 200 free - 2:18.36.
Josh and Kieran Henry rounded out day 2 with lifetime bests in a 200 IM time trial, finishing 2:25.94 & 2:32.37
Lots of big races on Friday! Josh kicked off Friday’s races with a lifetime best 200 & 50 freestyle - 2:06.58 & then 25.35; good enough to make finals that evening. He would go on to finish 40th overall with 25.23.
Nicole hit 28.01 in her 50, also a lifetime best & earning a spot in finals where she finished 31st overall. Mishka also picked up a lifetime best, dropping from 29.71 to 28.85. Renee swam her 59 free at 30.02 before a huge time drop in her 400 free - 4:48.65.
Having spend most of the week racing sprint freestyle. FAST finished up Western Zones racing 100s stroke. First event saw Nicole, Renee, and Josh racing the 100 back, finishing 1:09.15, 1:13.20, and 1:04.89; lifetime bests for Renee & Josh. 
Kieran Henry picked up a lifetime best in the 100 breast - 1:15.05.
Nicole, Josh, and Kieran finished up the morning with lifetime best in the 100 fly - 1:09.68, 1:03.2, and 1:05.12.
Nicole would return Saturday evening in the 100 back, winning her heat and lowering her morning swim to 1:08.29.
The 100 fly would be both Josh & Kieran’s final race with FAST before leaving for college. FAST wishes them the best of luck and we hope to see them on deck in the future!
