Training Levels

Northeast Connecticut Aquatics offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. The goal is to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

8&Under/Development Recreation Level

Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique.
8&Under/Dev Group Coach: 
Workout Days/Times: (3 days/week, 1 hour)

Monday 5:00-6:00p, Wednesday 5:00-6:00p, Friday 5:00-6:00p

Age Group Level

Athletes in this group are at least 9 years old. This group is exposed to training for the first time while trying to prepare for the more challenging races.  Athletes will experience 100 yard+ stroke events.  Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged.

Monday 5:00-6:30p, Tuesday 5:00-6:30p, Wednesday 5:00-6:30p, Thursday 6:00-7:30p, Friday 5:00-6:30p

Junior Level

Minimum age for entry into this group is 11 years old or anyone 14&U with Age Group Championship qualifying times. Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is expected in this group. Training takes precedence over technique work for the first time in the athlete’s development.

Senior Level

Minimum age for entry into this group is 15 or anyone who has Senior Championship qualifying times.  Athletes entering the Senior group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of.

Afternoon:  Monday 5:00-7:00p, Tuesday 5:00-7:00p, Wednesday 5:00-7:00p, Thursday 6:00-8:00p, Friday 5:00-7:00p, Saturday 6:30-8:30a

Morning: Monday 5:15-6:15a, Wednesday 5:15-6:15a,

High School Prep: (Sep-Dec)

This group is for the High School Only Swimmer.  Athletes entering this group are here only to practice in preparation of their high school season.

College: Summer Only

This group is for the College Swimmer who is coming back home to train during the summer.
