As coaches, our number one priority is to help your child succeed.  Therefore, we respectfully ask you to refrain from interupting swimmers or coaches during the practice, or speaking to us shortly before, during, or shortly after practice is completed.  Parent presence in the pool area has the potential to disrupt practice with some children.  We realize you have many questions, but kindly wait until a time when practice is over (at least 15 minutes before/after the scheduled practice).  During this before practice time, we are preparing the practice and it is often a time for “one-on-one” between the swimmer and the coach.  After the practice, it also is time for “one-on-one” to reinforce concepts learned in the practice, or to provide guidance to the swimmer for upcoming practice or meets.  You are welcome to arrange a private meeting with us or contact us by phone or email.  Practice is for the children and we need our focus to be entirely on them.  The more time you take from us, the less time we have to give to your children.  We will ensure there are clearly published times for when we will make ourselves available on a regular basis.  In addition, for more urgent issues, please email the coach and if possible/appropriate, copy the VSYMPO President, and we will respond as quickly as possible.  We know you understand and thank you in advance for your cooperation.
