Operations: Minnesota Swimming Office Working Remotely Until April 6

Bob Crunstedt

Following guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) to implement community-level strategies to slow COVID-19 in Minnesota, such as:

  • Employers making telework arrangements for workers whose duties can be done remotely and,
  • Employers staggering work schedules and limiting non-essential work travel and,
  • People and families at higher risk of severe COVID-19 illness staying at home and avoiding gatherings or other situations of potential exposures, including travel and,
  • Hopkins Public Schools (our landlord) informing us that access to the building will likely be limited to staff (with badges) and parents dropping off for childcare (with identification), hence,

The Minnesota Swimming office in the Hopkins Eisenhower Community Center will be closed until April 6. Also, other travel such as club visits are postponed. This does not affect online Board and committee meetings or conference calls.

The staff is working remotely and can be reached via email or by calling the numbers listed on the MNswim website. They are checking voicemails left at the office. USPS mail service will continue to the office. In addition, online meetings via Zoom or conference calls can be arranged through the staff for MNSI-level purposes.

When COVID-19 guidance and announcements from the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC), MDH, USA Swimming, or Hopkins Public Schools are updated, Minnesota Swimming will update this announcement and provide further information to the swim clubs. Thank you for all you continue to do for members of Minnesota Swimming.
