Safe Sport Courses for Athletes

USA Swimming offers two Safe Sport courses for Athletes:

Safe Sport for Minor Athletes Online Course

This course is designed for athletes 12-17 years old and will cover the basics of Safe Sport, understanding the three types of boundaries, and what to do if you or someone you know is being harmed. Parents and coaches can use the facilitation guide in the course to open up a conversation about Safe Sport and healthy boundaries.

Adult athletes of USA Swimming must take the full Athlete Protection Training.

You must take the course(s) within the "Athlete Protection Training" Certification. Once you have completed these courses, your membership record will update with a new APT expiration date within 24 hours. Your APT will expire 12 months from the date you completed the certificate.
