ND Swimming: House of Delegates Meeting - Oct 24th

ND Swimming - LSC

Club Presidents, Head Coaches, LSC Representatives, LSC Athlete Reps, NDLSC Board -

We have our next Board of Directors(BoD) and House of Delegates(HoD) meetings on October 23rd (BoD) and October 24th (HoD) in Fargo.  We don't have the meeting location determined yet.  Once we know that, we will send out another communication with specific details about lodging options and the meeting location.  We will have a Zoom connection option available.

As a reminder, each club receives one vote at the House of Delegates - that vote can be placed by the president, head coach, athlete rep, or LSC rep. In each instance, the person voting must be listed on the club directories as of Friday prior to the meeting. Changes to the club directory should be emailed to the ND LSC Secretary.

Meeting Dates/Times:

The Board of Directors meeting will be held Saturday evening, October 23rd from 5pm to 8pm..  The House of Delegates will meet Sunday, October 24th from 9 am to noon.  Those times reflect our historical meeting time and duration.  Again, more details coming soon.

Call for Agenda Items: (due Oct 3rd)

Submit any agenda items to the ND LSC Secretary via email.  Agenda items are due on or before Oct 3rd.

Policy Changes: (due Oct 3rd)

Anyone who wishes to propose Policy Changes are reminded that policy change requests are to be submitted via this link: Policy Change Form  also found under the 'Policy Documents' link on the ND LSC Website. Policy change requests must be received at least 20 days prior to the Board of Directors meeting.  That due date is October 3rd.

Short Course State - Dates, Locations, and Bid Process: (due Oct 12th)

As you recall from our Spring 2021 House of Delegates meeting, the Short Course State Championships will remain a split meet for 2022.  The 11 and Over meet is set for March 18-20, 2022 in Grand Forks.

The 10 and Under meet will be held on March 12th and 13th, 2022 and will be  Open For Bid.  The bid process will be the same that clubs bid to host last year's Short Course State Meet.  Clubs interested in bidding to be the host site must submit their written bid to the ND LSC Secretary via email by 8pm on October 12, 2021. Clubs will be allowed 5 minutes to present their bid to the House of Delegates and Board of Directors on October 24th.  Once all bids are reviewed, the HoD and BoD will determine the host site via a vote.  Majority vote by the HoD and BoD will determine the host site.  As a reminder, the 10 and Under meet will execute award presentations during the meet, and so the host club and site will be expected to execute this process.  Awards will be purchased by the LSC Technical Chair.

SC State Qualifying Time Standards:

As voted on at the May 2021 HoD, starting with the SC 2021/2022 season, we will utilize QUAD based time standards (see page 5/6) ('BB') with the exception of boys 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 which will use ('B') time standards.

Feel free to reach out directly to me if you have any questions or have any feedback on the content above.

Take care
