Volunteer Recognition
VOLUNTEERS are the STRENGTH and CORE of our ORGANIZATION.
From the club level to the Board of Directors, Ohio Swimming depends on volunteers. Swimming requires more parent volunteers and volunteer time than any other sport!
OSI is indeed grateful for the many who have volunteered countless hours for our organization. Each volunteer's efforts are truly appreciated!
Volunteers are needed at all levels within OSI, from your swimmer's club to OSI committees. Often the skills you use everyday at home or in the office can be carried over to swimming. We are an extremely diverse organization with many opportunities. Volunteering opens doors and the rewards are endless!
Please contact the Ohio Swimming Permanent Office at [email protected] with any questions or if you are interested in getting more involved. We can provide you with more detailed information and contacts.
Remember not all volunteer work is done at swim meets or committee meetings. Valuable contributions can be made from your home. Every contribution is important.
OSI thanks all its dedicated volunteers!
Conoco Phillips Service Award
Each year Ohio Swimming has the opportunity to select a recipient for the Outstanding Service Award. This award, sponsored by ConocoPhillips, is presented to a volunteer in Ohio Swimming in recognition of service to swimming. Selection criteria consider quality, level and years of volunteer service in elected or appointed positions from the category of administrator, official and coach. Recipients of the Outstanding Service Award are selected by the Ohio Swimming Executive Committee and receive both an Award and an Outstanding Service Award pin.
Nominations must be received no later than March 31 for consideration. Presentation of the award will be at the Annual Ohio Swimming Recognition event.
USA Swimming and ConocoPhillips take great pride in honoring the role of the volunteer as an important investment in the future of all swimming athletes and the growth of the programs they represent. Volunteers have been the heart and strength of American swimming, and their special gifts of time, talent, and devotion to local swimming programs make USA Swimming what it is today.
