Julie is a Northern Virginia native and a resident of Dominion Valley. She has over 20 years of competitive swimming experience. She began swimming year round at age 7, swimming for her community and high school teams, as well as Victor Swim Club and Curl-Burke USA swimming teams. She also swam for her first 2 years of college at Mary Washington.
