We had some impressive early-season long course swims at the June 14-15 swim meet! On day one of the meet, Cynthia Le was a workhorse, swimming four events and equaling personal bests in the 50m fly and getting a new long course best time in the 400m free. Roxane Abad swam the 400m free as well – and for the first time! She shows great potential in this event. Britney Eng continued the trend of racing tough events for the first time, doing very well swimming the 100m fly long...

Alyssa Zaydman - Alyssa is April’s Swimmer of the Month in Age Group 1! Alyssa’s improvement has been meteoric, and it’s all because she changed her mindset. Alyssa is a natural born racer, and she would race everyone in practice! However, in the last few months Alyssa has changed her focus and is now concentrating on improving her technique. Alyssa is still a speed demon, though! The picture is from her last meet where she got new B times! Way to go Alyssa!

Mario is Age Group 1’s Swimmer of the Month! Mario is a clinic convert, and we are so happy to have him year-round with us. He is an incredibly hard worker and has improved a lot since coming to our group in December. You can tell he really loves the sport, and has dedicated himself by showing up to all the practices he can. Way to go Mario – keep up the good work!

Aaron is AG1’s Swimmer of the Month for January! Aaron is an exceptionally hard worker, willing to grind out every lap at maximum effort. Lately, he has readjusted his focus a bit, to make sure that each lap has a technical purpose. He knows his weaknesses in each stroke, and concentrates each lap on not only getting faster, but improving his stroke technique. I would love for Aaron swim in some meets this Spring and see that work pay off! Congrats Aaron!

EBAT Swimmers, Victor Deng, Donovan Watts, and Carson Sand swam in Clovis California from Thursday through Sunday this past week in The Western Zones Senior Championships. Over 1000 swimmers attended this meet and there were some pretty incredible swims. All three EBAT boys had outstanding performances everytime they stepped up to the blocks. Victor managed to make C finals in the 50 free and improved his time for his second attempt. He also broke EBAT 17-18 boys 400 free record. Donovan had an outstanding 200 free after 4 days in...

Hi Team, I have a couple video links I thought everyone would enjoy. The first is a video that Coach Dave took of his swim groups - it is a great video and I think everyone will enjoy it! You will need to copy and paste it into your browser. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8_noJ2tfXw&feature=youtu.be The second is a video from swimswam and is the TV coverage of Coach Dave's last swim. He made the "A" finals at the Santa Clara International Grand Prix Challenge last month and features Ryan Lochte and some other...

NCS Trial & Finals, May 17 & 18 There are around 150 high school teams eligible to compete in NCS, however, only a little over 100 are able to make the cuts. Each event maxes out with the fastest 40 entries to compete in Friday’s trials events where no points are scored. The top 16 finishers in each event on Friday’s trials get to come back on Saturday to compete in NCS finals for points. EBAT had several participants in NCS trials on Friday. The following are some highlights……. NCS...

EBAT had its biggest open water turn out to date. Almost 30 swimmers participated in the open water 1 mile swim today and everyone did a great job!! The water was warm, the weather was nice and thanks to the Zen's, the food was terrific! Thanks to all those who helped with the food and the set up - we looked like we had an army there. Lots of first time open water swimmers were able to experience this event and see how different it is to swim in a...
