Jersey Storm Swimming (STRM) - Assistant Coach  (11/22/19)


The Assistant Coach position is a part-time position that requires 3-4 days/week commitment (~1-2hrs/day coaching) plus a weekend meet approximately once per month. Some additional off-deck time required to fulfill coaching duties and responsibilities (e.g., practice planning, meet entries, etc). The position offers an hourly salary, sick pay, and reimbursement for board approved travel and certification/educational fees required for the position.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to head coach to develop and implement year-round and seasonal training plans for your training group
  • Coach/manage a training group to ensure the teaching of proper stroke technique and implementation of the training plan
  • Inspire, encourage, and motivate each swimmer to realize their full potential in the sport of swimming
  • Teach life skills such as self-discipline, self-confidence, good sportsmanship, goal setting, and working to achieve goals
  • Assign meet events/entries to swimmers and ensure swimmers are entered in meets
  • Coach training group/team at meets (~1 meet/month)
  • Create an educational, safe, & inviting experience for all swimmers
  • Initiate, develop & maintain positive relationships with ALL swimmers in training group

Education/Experience:

  • High School graduate with Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior swim coaching experience and a competitive swimming background
  • Knowledge of proper swimming technique, training science, and stroke/distance specific racing background. 
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience using Team Unify (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:

  • Certified coaching member of USA Swimming
  • ASCA Level 1/2 certification or higher (preferred)

PENN Aquatics-Assistant Coach  (8/27/19)


Penn Aquatics is looking for qualified Coaches to also help grow our staff!  Our team has swimmers of all abilities from beginners to experienced athletes.  PENN takes pride in developing talent!  PENN is a USA Swimming Registered Swim Club consisting of over 100 swimmers of various levels and competes in both the Suburban Aquatic League (SAL) and USA Swimming.

We are looking for an individual who works well with others, is passionate about swimming and has strong communication and people skills.  This individual will be dedicated to laying foundations necessary for athletes to be successful throughout their entire career.

Job Requirements

  1. Safety Certifications: Current CPR Certification, First Aid (or Lifeguard) Certification, and Safety Training for swim coaches (available at www.usaswimming.org).
  2. Experience working with athletes ages 5 to 18
  3. Experience teaching lessons or Coaching
  4. Participate in weekend swim meets as required
  5. If not already CPR Certified/ Registered USA swim coach, candidate can complete certifications upon hiring

Keystone Aquatics (KA) - Head Senior Coach  (8/20/19)


Keystone Aquatics (KA), is a newly formed coach run and private facility owned age group and master’s competitive swimming program, located in Central PA.  Keystone Aquatics trains at Keystone Aquatic Center and Keystone Fieldhouse, for dryland and strength training.  The Keystone Aquatic Center (KAC) is an indoor 50 meter x 25 yard pool with an additional SwimEx flume pool.  Keystone Fieldhouse is a complete 24,000 square foot fitness center and indoor turf field.

Interested candidates should be at least ASCA Certification level 2.  Applicants must be able to work directly with the Head Age Group Coach and President of Keystone Aquatic Center.  Candidates should possess strong motivational and communication skills and be able to implement coaching and training techniques acquired via coaching education.

Coaches need to be available from 5:00 – 8:00pm week nights and some weekends.  Applicants must be certified or willing to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, and become a USA Coaching Member.

This position could be Full-time or Part-time based on the applicant.  Salary would commensurate with prior coaching experience.

West Chester Area YMCA (WCAY) - Part Time Age Group Coach  (8/7/19)


The WCAY Marlins Swim Team is a growing program of approximately 150 swimmers. The team is looking for a coach to help develop its younger swimmers.  

Weeknights 5-7 and some weekend hours. Responsibilities primarily include swimmers ranging in age from 8-12. Previous coaching experience preferred / Former High School or College swimmers preferred but not required.  No other certifications are necessary - the YMCA will provide all training.

Hershey Aquatic Club (HAC) - Part Time Assistant Coaches  (7/26/19)

The Hershey Aquatic Club (HAC) is a highly respected and competitive 150+ member, USA Swimming Level 2 competitive swim program, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach. HAC primarily competes in USA Swimming in Middle Atlantic swim meets in addition to local league meets in Central Pennsylvania. HAC also participates in USA Swimming meets at the Olympic Trials, Nationals, Junior Nationals, Sectionals, Zones and Junior Olympics levels.

The interested applicants must have at least two (2) years of prior swim coaching experience, willingness to coach under the philosophy of the HAC head coach, strong motivational and communication skills, and the desire to implement new coaching techniques acquired via coaching education.


This part-time position is expected to start in the Fall of 2019. Applicants would be coaching elementary and/or middle school age swimmers. Applicants must be available between the hours of 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend availability (average of 1-2 monthly) to coach meets is also required. Some weekend travel to swim meets may also be required. The applicants must be certified, or be willing to obtain certifications, in CPR, First Aid (Safety Training for Swim Coaches), and be a USA/ASCA Coaching Member.

Malvern Swimming Association (MSA) - Part Time Assistant Coaches  (7/26/19)

Malvern Swimming Association (MSA) is looking for a part-time assistant swim coach to start in September or October and continue coaching through the entire winter season. MSA is a USA Swimming Registered Swim Club and is a part of The Malvern Preparatory School which is located in Malvern, PA. Our team runs from September through July giving employees the opportunity to continue coaching almost year round.

Practices are held Monday – Friday evenings after 5:00 and Saturday mornings. Candidates should be available for most practices and some weekend meets. Hours are flexible depending on candidate’s availability. There is opportunity to work with different swimmer groups ages 5-18. In addition to a year round competitive swim team, Malvern has a large lesson program and clinic which provides the opportunity for additional income and experience.
