Suburban Seahawks Club – Part time Coach. Two open positions for late August 2020.

Suburban Seahawks Club (SSC) is a non-profit, 250+ member, competitive aquatics, USA Swimming Silver Medal Club. SSC’s primary location is a club owned, 25 yard 8-lane pool with a 2 lane teaching pool and dry-land room.
SSC is seeking qualified applicants for an age group coach position, primarily working with swimmers ages 8-14, but should be able to coach all age groups. The interested applicant should have prior experience and be willing to coach under the direction and philosophy of SSC Head Coach Charlie Kennedy. The applicant must be willing to work evenings (practices are held during the 3:30-9:00 pm time frame), and work weekend USA swimming meets approximately 1 weekend per month. The candidate must have (or be willing to obtain) USA Swimming Coaches Certification (which includes Safety Training for Swim Coaches, CPR, First Aid), and up to date background checks (per USA Swimming guidelines).
Salary is hourly, part time and is commensurate with experience. Additional hours available as a life guard or swim instructor are available. Suburban Seahawks Club - Aquatics Manager/Head Lifeguard
This Position is a salaried position with medical benefits. Pay is commensurate with experience. Position starts in August of 2020. (Note- this job could be combined with a part time coaching position if interested in full time.)
SSC is located in Newtown Square, PA and is looking for a reliable individual to join the aquatics team as a full time employee. This person will work under designated SSC Supervisors, Board of Directors & with all members of the SSC aquatics team.
The Aquatics Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for members, communicating with patrons & other employees, overseeing the aquatics area, providing work direction to staff, and performing life guarding duties themselves.
In addition to the above the person will be accountable for:
· Acting as a lead contact for all lifeguard staff, ensure all shifts are covered & follow all SSC communication protocols.
· Inspecting and maintaining facility equipment.
Position Requirements
· 2-3 years life guarding experience with preference given to those with relevant staff management experience 6 months - 1 year
· Current Nationally Accredited Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross)
· Professional Level CPR/BLS (American Red Cross)
· First Aid (American Red Cross)
· AED
· CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or willing to obtain CPO within 6 months of employment
· Lifeguard/First Aid Instructor Level (American Red Cross) a plus.
· Swim Instructor experience a plus.
Salary: $30,000.00 /year range

Arcadia University - Part Time Assistant Men's and Women's Coach
The person in this part-time position will be involved in many aspects of the sport program, including, but not limited to, practice planning, game preparation/scouting, in-game coaching, recruiting, administrative work, and general supervision of student-athletes.
Following the recent addition of esports, track & field, and ice hockey to the Arcadia’s Athletics Department, the University will now sponsor 26 varsity sports (13 women, 12 men, 1 co-ed) beginning in the 2021-22 academic year. PAAC, a USA Swimming level 3 club as well as a Bronze Medal Club, located in Allentown, PA., is looking for an energetic and motivated part-time age group coach for the 2020-2021 competitive year.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:

State College Area YMCA (SCAY) - Full Time Head Swim Team Coach (4/17/20)
The State College Branch of the YMCA of Centre County is seeking an experienced Head Swim Team Coach for their team of 150+ swimmers!
This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Successful applicants will have at least 5 years of coaching experience that demonstrates successful program development and management, character-driven leadership, excellent communication skills, and a personal commitment to the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The Head Coach will be responsible for developing and supervising practices for all levels of swimmers; hiring, training, scheduling, and mentoring assistant coaches; and working closely with the parent committee on tasks such as recruiting and managing meet volunteers. Previous experience with Meet Manager and Team Unify software preferred as is a current lifeguard certification; familiarity with the Y-USA swim lesson curriculum; and USA Swimming and YMCA Swim Coach certifications. Expected start date is Spring 2020.
Qualifications

Essential Functions
- Plan, organize, and develop the swim team program. Plan, attend, and direct team practices as scheduled. Schedule practice times within the guidelines set by the Aquatics Director.
- Ensure the safety of participants at all times.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and train a group of 6 to 8 assistant coaches.
- Manage and supervise assistant coaches to meet program and safety objectives, and to build a positive team culture that promotes individual growth and team building.
- Maintain proper team records and file reports as needed.
- Attend all YMCA league meetings and team meets. Coordinate entry information to meet all deadlines. Attend/organize USA Swimming meet participation as needed.
- Relate to the individual swimmers on a personal basis at practice, at meets, and through goal setting, instruction and positive encouragement.
- Relate to parents' concerns through individual contact by appointment, phone calls, or emails. Utilize parent board for support and advisory functions. Attend and actively participate in all parent board meetings.
- Initiate and maintain active communication concerning all aspects of the program with assistant coaches, swimmers, parents and necessary Y staff.
- Other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Director.

Gettysburg YWCA (GETY) - Part Time Assistant Coach (4/17/20)
The Gettysburg Sharks Swim Team (GETY) in Gettysburg, PA is looking for a Part-Time Head Coach and Assistant Coaches.

Westtown Aquatic Club (WA) – Assistant Director of Aquatics (2/5/20)
This Position is an 11 month, salaried position with medical benefits. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Westtown Aquatic Club (WA) is looking for an Assistant Director of Aquatics. WA is located on the grounds of Westtown School. A pre-k through 12, Quaker boarding school located in the back roads of West Chester, Pa. Interested applicants should have prior USA-swimming coaching experience or college level swimming experience. Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.
Duties and responsibilities;
- Westtown Aquatic Club: Working with the aquatic club (approximately 20-24 hours of coaching during certain times of the year) for practice and meets. Candidates will work with all ages and abilities within the aquatic program but main focus is on the 10 and under (6 days a week).
- Upper School Head Coach: Working in conjunction with Westtown School athletics. This is a two season position (fall for condition swimming/ winter varsity swimming).
- Westtown Swim School Coordinator: Working with the Director of Auxiliary Initiative overseeing curriculum of swim school groups
- Additional work available through rental swim lesson groups, dorm parent (if available) and as a summer camp supervisor.
Qualifications:

- Prior swim coaching experience and a competitive swimming background
- Knowledge of proper swimming technique, training science, and stroke/distance specific racing background.
- Detail oriented with excellent communication and organization skills
- Experience using Team Unify (preferred)
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:
- Certified coaching member of USA Swimming
- ASCA Level 1/2 certification or higher (preferred)
