Keystone Aquatics (KA) - Head Senior Coach  (8/20/19)


Keystone Aquatics (KA), is a newly formed coach run and private facility owned age group and master’s competitive swimming program, located in Central PA.  Keystone Aquatics trains at Keystone Aquatic Center and Keystone Fieldhouse, for dryland and strength training.  The Keystone Aquatic Center (KAC) is an indoor 50 meter x 25 yard pool with an additional SwimEx flume pool.  Keystone Fieldhouse is a complete 24,000 square foot fitness center and indoor turf field.

Interested candidates should be at least ASCA Certification level 2.  Applicants must be able to work directly with the Head Age Group Coach and President of Keystone Aquatic Center.  Candidates should possess strong motivational and communication skills and be able to implement coaching and training techniques acquired via coaching education.

Coaches need to be available from 5:00 – 8:00pm week nights and some weekends.  Applicants must be certified or willing to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, and become a USA Coaching Member.

This position could be Full-time or Part-time based on the applicant.  Salary would commensurate with prior coaching experience.

West Chester Area YMCA (WCAY) - Part Time Age Group Coach  (8/7/19)


The WCAY Marlins Swim Team is a growing program of approximately 150 swimmers. The team is looking for a coach to help develop its younger swimmers.  

Weeknights 5-7 and some weekend hours. Responsibilities primarily include swimmers ranging in age from 8-12. Previous coaching experience preferred / Former High School or College swimmers preferred but not required.  No other certifications are necessary - the YMCA will provide all training.

Jersey Storm Swimming (STORM) - Head Coach  (7/29/19)

JERSEY STORM SWIMMING is seeking a motivated, innovative, and inspirational head coach to continue to grow our team and inspire and improve the performance of our swimmers.  Jersey Storm is a non-profit, year-round, USA Swimming competitive swim team of 80+ swimmers that is managed by a Parent Board of Directors. Our competitive program consists of three levels: Senior, Junior, and Developmental. We also run a year-round pre-team (swim lesson) program. We are located in northern Burlington County, NJ (Middle Atlantic LSC) and our practice facility is on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. The team is currently growing and is located in an area with an increasing population.

The Head Coach position is a 6 day/wk position (~3-4hrs/day coaching) plus weekend meets approximately once or twice per month. Additional off-deck time required to fulfill other head coaching duties and responsibilities. The position offers a competitive salary, sick pay, paid time off, and reimbursement for board approved travel and certification/educational fees required for the position.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement year-round and seasonal training plans for all training groups that:
    • Inspires, encourages, and motivates each of our swimmers to realize their full potential in the sport of swimming
    • Teaches life skills such as self-discipline, self-confidence, good sportsmanship, goal setting, and working to achieve goals
  • Manage and monitor assistant coaches and each of the training groups to ensure the teaching of proper stroke technique and implementation of the training plans
  • Establish the annual meet schedule, assign coaches to adequately cover the meets, ensure all meet entries are submitted on time
  • Oversee the pre-team (swim lesson) program
  • Provide opportunities to grow emotionally, socially, and educationally through team building events, consistent training, competition, and travel

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Align with Jersey Storm Swimming goals to continue to grow and improve the team while maintaining our great, family friendly atmosphere (the closeness of our swimmers and the solid friendships and camaraderie is something we truly feel sets us apart!)
  • Create an educational, safe, & inviting experience for all swimmers
  • Initiate, develop & maintain positive relationships with ALL swimmers on the team
  • Respond to member questions regarding the team’s programs, policies & procedures
  • Assist in enforcing USA Swimming, team & pool policies at all times
  • Maintain all swimmer information in Team Unify (e.g., times, attendance, meet entries/results, etc.)
  • Attend all Storm hosted meets and team events
  • Develop and distribute a monthly team newsletter
  • Represent Jersey Storm Swimming positively
  • Perform all duties as indicated in the Head Coach Employment Contract

Education/Experience:

  • High School graduate with Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior swim coaching experience and a competitive swimming background
  • Knowledge of proper swimming technique, training science, and stroke/distance specific racing background. ASCA Level 1/2 or higher (preferred)
  • Experience planning workouts, season plan, meet plan, and meet entries for individual swimmers.
  • Detail oriented with extraordinary leadership, communication, and organization skills
  • Positive, patient, with an outgoing personality
  • Experience using Team Unify (preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office software applications (preferred)

Hershey Aquatic Club (HAC) - Part Time Assistant Coaches  (7/26/19)

The Hershey Aquatic Club (HAC) is a highly respected and competitive 150+ member, USA Swimming Level 2 competitive swim program, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach. HAC primarily competes in USA Swimming in Middle Atlantic swim meets in addition to local league meets in Central Pennsylvania. HAC also participates in USA Swimming meets at the Olympic Trials, Nationals, Junior Nationals, Sectionals, Zones and Junior Olympics levels.

The interested applicants must have at least two (2) years of prior swim coaching experience, willingness to coach under the philosophy of the HAC head coach, strong motivational and communication skills, and the desire to implement new coaching techniques acquired via coaching education.


This part-time position is expected to start in the Fall of 2019. Applicants would be coaching elementary and/or middle school age swimmers. Applicants must be available between the hours of 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend availability (average of 1-2 monthly) to coach meets is also required. Some weekend travel to swim meets may also be required. The applicants must be certified, or be willing to obtain certifications, in CPR, First Aid (Safety Training for Swim Coaches), and be a USA/ASCA Coaching Member.

Malvern Swimming Association (MSA) - Part Time Assistant Coaches  (7/26/19)

Malvern Swimming Association (MSA) is looking for a part-time assistant swim coach to start in September or October and continue coaching through the entire winter season. MSA is a USA Swimming Registered Swim Club and is a part of The Malvern Preparatory School which is located in Malvern, PA. Our team runs from September through July giving employees the opportunity to continue coaching almost year round.

Practices are held Monday – Friday evenings after 5:00 and Saturday mornings. Candidates should be available for most practices and some weekend meets. Hours are flexible depending on candidate’s availability. There is opportunity to work with different swimmer groups ages 5-18. In addition to a year round competitive swim team, Malvern has a large lesson program and clinic which provides the opportunity for additional income and experience. Qualifications

  • At least 18 years or older

Jersey Storm Swimming (STORM) - Part Time Assistant Coaches  (7/25/19)

Jersey Storm is a non-profit year round, USA Swimming competitive swim team of 80+ swimmers that is managed by a Parent Board of Directors and a Head Coach.  Our competitive program consists of three levels: Senior, Junior, and Developmental (which is broken up into three levels). We are currently seeking a Junior and a Developmental coach.   We are a member of the Middle Atlantic LSC (MA) and are conveniently located in Northern Burlington County.  Our practice facility is on Joint Base – McGuire, Dix, Lakehurst.  Our team is growing and we are central to many communities in the greater Burlington County area.

Practice hours range between 5:30 pm and 8 pm on weeknights and 7 am – 10 pm on Saturdays. (Actual days and hours will depend on the age group you coach.) You will also be expected to attend weekend meets about once per month. You must be USA Swimming certified before starting. The team will cover USA registration fees. You will also receive earned sick pay and a continuing education coaching allowance for training related to the position. Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Must haves, include but aren’t limited to:

  • Prior swim coaching experience or collegiate swimming experience
  • Willingness to work with swimmers of all ages
  • Enthusiasm and love of the sport!
  • Desire to bring out the best in your swimmers through constant monitoring, coaching, and motivation with your swimmers during practice.
  • Utilize praise and encouragement as appropriate.
  • Awareness of up to date training techniques and stroke mechanics and the ability to effectively instruct and correct swimmers.
  • Ability to create an environment where training is challenging, fun, and appropriate for the age and ability of the swimmers in your group,.

Westtown Aquatic Club (WA) - Part Time Assistant Coaches  (7/23/19)

Westtown Aquatic Club (WA) is looking for part-time coaches starting September 2019. 

WA is located on the grounds of Westtown School. A pre-k through 12, Quaker boarding school located in the back roads of West Chester, Pa.  Interested applicants should have prior USA-swimming coaching experience or college level swimming experience.  Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience. 

 

Applicants should be willing to work with swimmers of all ages/ ranges. Coaches must be available in the fall/ winter between the hours of 6 to 8:30pm weeknights and Saturday mornings. Coaches are expected to become USA swimming certified to help assistant during weekend meets 1-2 per month.

Upper Dublin Aquatic Club (UDAC) part-time Age Group Coaches (7/8/19)

UDAC, a 300+ member age-group competitive swimming and diving program, USA Swimming Silver Medal Club, located in Fort Washington, PA, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated part-time age group coaches.  UDAC competes in regional USA Swimming meets, Middle Atlantic swim meets, as well as in the Suburban Aquatic League (SAL), in Southeastern PA.

The interested applicant should have prior swim coach experience, willingness to coach under the philosophy and culture of UDAC and the UDAC Head Coach, strong motivational and communication skills, and the desire to implement new coaching techniques acquired via coaching education.

The applicant should be willing to work with swimmers of all ages/ranges, but specifically with swimmers ages 5-14, and must be available in the fall/winter and spring between the hours 5:00-8:00 p.m., weeknights.   Weekend availability to coach meets is also required. The applicant must be certified or able to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid (Safety Training for Swim Coaches), and be a USA Coaching Member (or be willing to attain this status).   Background checks and school district online training are required.

Gettysburg Sharks Swim Team (GETY) in Gettysburg, PA is looking for a Head Coach and/or Assistant Coaches.

Candidates must have current American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.  Must be willing to work weeknights between 5:30pm and 8pm, with availability on weekends.  USA coaching certification is preferred or must be something you are willing to obtain.

The Sharks practice at the YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County where Employee Membership benefits are included based on the number of hours worked per week.  Fall/Winter Season runs September- February/early April and Summer Season runs mid-April- July.

Position Summary

The Aquatics Head Swim Team Coach leads all of the USA swim practices at their home site. They develop positive relationships with swimmers and members, and promotes programs in order to generate more participation.
