COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A standard of excellence isn’t just limited to the pool for Middle Atlantic Swimming members as evidenced by the announcement of the 2020-21 Scholastic All-America Team by USA Swimming this week.

52 members of Middle Atlantic Swimming earned accolades, marking the fifth-highest total in the country for Local Swimming Committees (LSCs).

“We’re incredibly proud of this group of swimmers who have worked tremendously hard and held themselves to a high standard, both in the pool and in their academics,” Executive Director Jamie Platt said. “To have Middle Atlantic Swimming rank among the country’s best shows the level of swimmers and coaches that we’re fortunate to have as part of our community.”

The 2020-21 Scholastic All-America recipients maintained a minimum of a 3.5 grade-point average and swam a time that met the 2019 Winter Junior qualifying time between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021.
