Senior Coach

Marlins Swimming is a competitive swim club located on the West Side of Rochester, NY. We offer a year-round USA Swimming program for competitive age group (5-18 years old) swimmers and are seeking a Senior Coach to work alongside the Program Director/Head Coach and other coaches to enhance the team. The team practices out of local school facilities six days per week.

This position will primarily work with our Senior Prep and Performance Team age group levels. The Senior Coach position requires a motivated, enthusiastic individual with experience and knowledge in competitive swimming. Candidates should exhibit the necessary professionalism and maturity to communicate with swimmers of all abilities, their parents, and the club's Head Coach and other team coaches. Compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • USA Swimming Coach Certification in good standing or obtained within two weeks of offer
  • Strong background in competitive swimming
  • Previous Coach experience with upper age group levels
  • ASCA level 3 or higher a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of USA Swimming rules and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coach swim practices and attend swim meets in a coordinated effort with the Head Coach and other team coaches.
  • Work with Head Coach and other team coaches to implement age-appropriate swim programs including personal goal setting. Inspire and challenge each swimmer to achieve his or her goals and develop positive self-esteem.
  • Display professional behavior at all times when representing Marlins Swimming (e.g., at practices, meets, and other club events).

Assistant Coach – Developmental Age Group

Marlins Swimming is a competitive swim club located on the West Side of Rochester, NY. We offer a year-round USA Swimming program for competitive age group (5-18 years old) swimmers and are seeking an Assistant Coach to work alongside the Program Director/Head Coach and other assistant coaches to enhance the team. The team practices out of local school facilities six days per week.

This position will primarily work with our developmental age group levels reinforcing the technical aspects of swimming. The Assistant Coach position requires a motivated, enthusiastic coach with experience and knowledge in competitive swimming. Candidates should exhibit the necessary professionalism and maturity to communicate with swimmers of all abilities, their parents, and the club's head and assistant coaches. Candidate will be contracted by Marlins Swimming and will work with the head coach to promote the overall success of the club. Compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • USA Swimming Coach Certification in good standing (or willingness to achieve)
  • Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certified preferred
  • Strong background in competitive swimming
  • Completion of high school
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic USA Swimming rules and regulations

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage swim practices and attend swim meets in a coordinated effort with the Assistant and Head Coach(es).
  • Work with other Assistant Coaches and Head Coach to implement age-appropriate swim programs for all swimmers, including personal goal setting. Inspire and challenge each swimmer to achieve his or her goals and develop positive self-esteem.

Oswego Laker Swim Club – Oswego, NY

Assistant Coach Wanted

The Oswego Lakers Swim Club is seeking a fun and energetic assistant swim coach to join its staff. We offer a year-round USA Swimming program for swimmers ages 5-22 and are seeking an assistant coach to work with our Senior programs. The team practices at both Laker Hall on the SUNY Oswego campus and Oswego High School.

The position is part-time, requiring between 5-10 hours working on deck with the OLSC Senior A & Senior B programs. Hours for this position will be weekdays from 6:45-8:45 p.m. The position will have additional hours required on the weekend at some local and regional swim meets.

Qualifications:

  • Current USA Swimming credentials or the ability to become certified within six weeks of hire.
  • Current Coaches Safety Training, CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Previous coaching or teaching experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic Niagara and USA Swimming rules and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist swim practices and attend swim meets in a coordinated effort with the Head Coach.
  • Primarily work with our Senior A & Senior B groups.
  • Work with all OLSC coaches
  • Inspire and challenge each swimmer to achieve his or her goals and develop positive self-esteem.
  • Display professional behavior at all times when representing OLSC at practices, meets, and other club events.

This is a part time position.

Sea Dragons Swim Club - Job Posting

Penfield, NY - Sea Dragons Swim Club is a USA Swimming Club for competitive swimmers age 5 - 19. We are currently seeking part time coaching staff for all swimming levels. Candidates must possess (or be willing to immediately seek) current USA swimming coach certification and pass a background check prior to employment. Age group coaching experience preferred but not required.  

The Sea Dragons Swim Club practices at both the Penfield High School and East Rochester High School pools up to 6 days a week and participates in local and regional meets throughout the short course and long course seasons.  We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with the ability to communicate with and motivate swimmers of all ages and abilities.
