The TYR pro series is coming to Fort Lauderdale!! There will be Olympians and pro swimmers racing in this meet being held at the newly renovated Swimming Hall of Fame Pool in Fort Lauderdale! The swim meet will be March 1st-4th. This will be a great opportunity for everyone to see the newly renovated Hall of Fame pool and watch some amazing swimmers race. 2022 USA Diving Junior Region 3 Championships May 6-8, 2022 Moultrie, GA The USA Diving Region 3 Championships was held at the Moose Moss Aquatic Center in Moultrie, GA. This regional meet was the qualifying meet for the upcoming USA Diving Zone B Championships. Pine Crest Diving wins FGCDA Spring Championships April 23, 2022 The Florida Gold Coast Diving Association is making a comeback from covid in 2022 after not hosting their association championship events for two years. Many thanks to Dario DiFazio, Meet Director, for staging the FGCDA championship comeback on the University of Miami campus in their newly renovated diving facility. Pine Crest Diving hosted the David Nielsen Invitational Comeback March 26th, 2022 Pine Crest Diving parents hosted the 18th Annual David Nielsen Invitational comeback at the Pine Crest School-Ft. Lauderdale campus for the first time in three years since the last one was hosted on March 16th, 2019. The 18th David Nielsen Invitational was originally scheduled for March 14th 2020, but due to the covid pandemic, the Pine Crest School announced a total school closure the day before the meet was scheduled. This past week, Pine Crest Swimming alumni Racine Ross was selected for the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, March 20-23 in Greensboro, NC. Representing Kenyon College in her freshman year, Racine will compete in the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly. Racine posted a best time in this season in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.93, earning her a ticket to the NCAA Championships. This past week, Pine Crest Swimming alumni Marta Ciesla and Jessica Nava were both selected for the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship March 20-23 hosted by the University of Texas. The NCAA Championship is the fastest short course yards meet in the world, with many Olympic medalists and world record holders competing every year. The annual competition is extremely fierce, second only to the Olympics.
